Dee Ford is a bigger injury return. Chiefs also add an All Pro safety, an upgrade at QB, and basically all their olayers ascending and getting better to the best team in the division by far.

Only because the Broncos have to do something with his contract.

If the draft falls a certain way I'd still be willing to draft Chubb and let Ray walk in 2019 or 2020. Who knows, maybe Elway will keep Ray and Von will be the one who walks in 2020.

If Denver has the chance to draft a once-in-a-decade-HB and passes because he's a HB they're stupid.

THey could win 10 games with their current QB, a top 15 D, and Barkley even with a weak O line...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Fat chance. Broncos don't have a very good training program or medical staff either one.
Medical staff smack. Extra credit for originality.

There were several games where Barkley did next to nothing... and that's at the college level. The hype on him is unrealistic.

He's going to be good but I seriously doubt he's as "transformational" as the draft hype machine is making him out to be...especially as a rookie. Fournette averaged 3.9.

Denver isn't winning 10 games with that coaching staff...and without Talib.

I'm no fan of the Coaching staff (by that I mean no respect) but they'll either get the HB or the best Pass rushing OLB in the draft.

I REALLY hope they take the HB...

Plus Von isn't getting younger, pair him up with Chubb and we could have the Von Ware matchup back.

I would be happy with Barkley too if Chubb is off the board.

I am less excited about trading down and adding multiple 2nd level guys vs top blue chip prospects but I guess settling for Davenport, Ward, Hernandez/McGlinty is ok and would be a nice haul in the mid to late 1st round but they would have to get at least 2 of those guys before pick 20 and then would have to probably trade up to get the 3rd.

Stay put and get a day 1 playmaker even if it ends up being Nelson. If they land Nelson I would try him at RT. This is like option 3 or 4 for me.

The last thing I want the Broncos to do is waste the 5th pick on rolling the dice for a QB. I would rather they trade back and go for the quantity.

If they don't take or end up getting Barkley, they could take a guy like Guice and still end up with a good option there, again that would mean guys who hit singles over guys who hit home runs but there is the chance the Broncos could hit a home run with one of them. kFc did it with Hunt last year.
You’re forgetting one crucial piece of information... your GM sucks at drafting players. Worry not, he’s about to remind you again next week. He’s too busy on a drinking bender while the rest of his people are at a retreat with their wives!! Vajona will be gone before week 8.

There are 4-5 RBs in this class that could go before the 3rd round. GMs are usually pretty stingy with their 1st round picks...there is no way I use a top 10 pick with so many other quality RBs that could be had in the 2nd/3rd.

Barkley may very well go #5...Fournette went #4. Kamara and Hunt out performed him for a fraction of the cost.

Dorsey isn't the type to spend a #4 over-all on a RB...Elway is dumb enough though.

Elway knows he's assed out with QB's and HB's.

He's got a home run at his pick...(FTR I think Cobb is a legit HB. In fact I think if you had a line he'd beast out.)

Elway just cut Anderson loose. He had just 37 yards less than Fournette in 2017. If you flip the names...you get a different optic...draft status vs. actual production.

So an undrafted RB was almost as productive as the #4 overall pick...and a 3rd round rookie led the league.

The evidence is there that drafting a RB that high isn't very practical...even if he's good.
