You're still presuming that those guys wouldn't have been UDFAs though.

That's always my point with 7th rounders - many of the guys you take there would've been guys you could've signed anyway. The value of the pick comes less in the player than it does the elimination of risk.

I think Watson and Johnson are UDFAs out of this draft. And Pacheco had already fallen so far (down to 250) that it's fair to think he would've been as well.

So I don't know that you can do a 1 for 1 proxy on the player and the pick value here; there's an excellent chance any/all of them would've still ended up on the squad.

I'm pretty sure the Chiefs are very happy that they didn't have to take the risk of them signing elsewhere.

Like I tried to tell both of you then, I get that thinking generally speaking, but when your GM can find talent anywhere, all picks absolutely have some value. It's not even debatable at this point.

I haven't looked up my opinion in this thread, but I don't need to, because it hasn't changed one bit.

1. I despise Tyreek Hill as a human, and have never been sad to see him go and for my team to not rely anymore on him. I said this when he was winning a Super Bowl for us and virtually bathed in the neg rep that submerged me whenever I said so.

2. I was sad to see his talent go, but while I thought trading him for that draft haul was probably going to cost us a Super Bowl this past year, I knew that inking him to $30m/year was absolutely going to cost us a Super Bowl.

I don't know if that makes me right, or wrong, or some combination of the two. But I do proudly continue to say I hate the guy.

Ok, so when this years 7th rounders aren't contributors do we get to hold that against him?

Not really.

I'm acknowledging the value of the 7ths by saying they eliminate the risk that you wouldn't be able to get those guys signed.

"Some value" /= a full 1 for 1 equivalent of the pick and the player.

I noted there is value in the pick.

So, you still have a bloody vagina over Tyreek after all the evidence has come out and it is almost a guarantee that he was falsely accused of what you hate him for?

You're an interesting study on narcissism, Direckshun. You are almost 100% wrong on every take you have on this board and the majority of the population makes fun of you for being a fool, but here you are giving another dumbass opinion like we all give mountains of ****s what you think.
