Any Bourbon drinkers out there?
I've heard some good things about Buffalo Trace Bourbon.
http://www.buffalotrace.com/ Can't get it up here north of the border but, through a wine distributer I am able to order a case. Would like to hear from someone who knows their stuff and has tried it before I order. Thanks |

So, I have family coming in to KC for Christmas, and one of the requests is that we find a place to do a whiskey tasting. Any recommendations?

Idk what places will do tastings but the Belfry downtown is a great whiskey bar, and Julep in Westport is pretty good too. Literally every whiskey you can imagine.

I need to revisit that place, haven't been there in years. The selection and prices have grown to exorbitant levels.
I was weened off of cheap booze at Harry's Tables Best thing I ever had there was a young Springbank. I only had one $$$ even back then My best scotch story....

Where are you finding the Willett? All I have come across in the past two years is Willett Rye.

Thanks all. With Harry's and The Belfry not being too far apart maybe we'll hit up both.

I’ve been trying out some Irish whiskey of late and really impressed with Redbreast and Green Spot. Particularly the Redbreast cask strength and Green Spot that was finished in California Zinfandel barrels.

I'd also recommend the Yellow Spot and Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Special Reserve.
