Why would you want 3 more 1st round picks for Elway to blow? Isn't however many he's had minus Von bad enough?

And if Denver wants a QB they'll be trading up for him.

Yeah.

Because he made a handshake deal with Dorsey before the draft to trade the 10 spot to KC for the agreed upon compensation...he honored the deal when he was likely offered more and got fired for it.

Buffalo needs and wants a QB and traded away one of the best QB prospects of the last 10 years for peanuts.

Whaley and Dorsey may have negotiated picks but McDermott signed off on the deal. Whaley was fired the day after the draft.

The Bills passed on a QB at 10 for the same reason the Jets passed on a QB at 6, they were eyeing the 2018 class. They may have overlooked the 2017 QB class or overrated the 2018 class, but at the time they felt 2018 would be a better QB class.

And that's why you NEVER trade what you've got to invest in the next year.

I said it over and over again last year. Fans who wanted us to trade shit away in the 2017 draft to collect picks in 2018 were completely ignorant of what the 2018 class would actually have for top-end QBs (I wouldn't take ANY of these choads over Mahomes). Secondly, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW THE 2017 SEASON WILL PLAY OUT. Buffalo tried their ****ing best to collect picks for 2018. They tried to tank. And the one season since 1999 that they WANT to tank, they make the ****ing playoffs. A low draft pick and a top-heavy QB class means if you don't trade up, you won't get one. And that's exactly what happened to them. They're paying far out the ass for the 4th best QB prospect in 2018, who isn't even close to what they could have had by simply keeping their 2017 pick and drafting the 2nd QB in 2017.

And their strategy may bite them in the ass. Making the playoffs in a tank year was the dumbest ****ing move they made. They should’ve sat Tyrod mid season and let Peterman lose game after game
