Trade whatever possible for a LT prospect

I don’t care. If there’s a LT in this draft that they feel can be a good quality LT, do it.

I don’t care if it would cost three 1st rd picks. Mahomes is not gonna be this athletic for much longer.

It needs to happen

And it’s not super risky to draft Simmons, IMO, even if he can’t play LT, we need competition at RG. We will need a RT next year and we need competition across the line, except center. We just traded our best lineman in Thuney. We need oline depth. Even if Simmons fails at LT, he’s played G and RT. Don’t get me wrong, I like Simmons bc I believe he could our LT of the future and possibly start by the playoffs. It’s a great fit of need vs where he’s available, assuming medicals check out. Last years draft shows that with Mims going 18.
It is super risky. He didn't tear an ACL. The majority of athletes that suffer this particular injury are never the same after. The risk with Simmons is that he can't play any position at a high level, not just LT.

They Chiefs have spent an exorbitant amount of money on the offensive line. They signed Moore immediately in free agency.

This idea that they're not doing anything to help Mahomes is ridiculously false.

I’m not sure I’d give up a 1st next year. And I haven’t looked at the trade chart to see if that’s even fair. But if they believe Simmons is healed up, he might be worth it. Top LTs are worth a lot. I like moving up to 24 better. That 52nd pick is intriguing though. There will be some strong players available at that spot, especially dline. I haven’t looked at the 2026 draft enough to know if it has a lot of talent or not, so it’s hard to gauge the value of a late 1st next year.

I could see Veach going up to #19 with Seattle for Simmons even. Veach LOVES pick swaps and something like this would be right up his alley.

Seattle gets:
#31
2026 1st
#66

Chiefs get:
#18-Simmons
#52

I didn’t say they weren’t doing anything. The chiefs have easily done far less than the bengals in giving burrow what he wants.

What are you talking about. Burrow had to go public and damn near shame the Bengals into getting the Chase and Higgins deals done. That organization had to be drug kicking and screaming to do it and they're paying well north of 8 figures more annually than they needed to between the two of them by dragging it out

1. DE
2. DT
3. OT
4. RB
5T. S
5T. CB
I just can’t see them passing on the top 3 DT’s that are possibilities. Nolen, Harmon, Grant. Those types of players are just not available often and I think at least 1 of them is gonna be pushed down the board.

They could all be gone though, in which case things really get interesting. I like Scourton but this draft is loaded with talented Spags DE’s and I think that may play into this.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Chiefs pull the trigger on TreVeyon Henderson if he is there. He is such a great fit for this offense and he is better than the other RB’s in this class that could be taken later. A guy like him could legitimately change this offense.

A RB isn't "changing the offense".

Wut? This offense is at its peak with a reliable threat out of the backfield.

Yes trading a next years 1st is always tricky because you hear that next years picks are only worth half of current years value...which I don't agree with myself. Next years 1st should be valued about what our #31 is worth this year.

Also the reason I thought of Seattle is because they have BOTH #50 and #52. Thinking the pick swap from #52 to #66 isn't that bad because of that #50 pick PLUS gaining a extra 1st next year and still having our #31 this year instead of #18.

So lets go draft another one in the first round, 4 years after we did it in 2020. Worked out great then.

If I need a reliable threat out of the backfield, go get reliable.

Don't go spend that on it.

And "transforming" the offense would be the QB not playing terrified.

Would love to see how Clyde worked out without the injury. Year one of Clyde looked very promising.

And we don't need to spend a first rounder on a RB to transform this offense. But it's very evident that KC has not had a RB that puts fear into a defense since peak Kareem. A home run threat is SORELY needed.

I’m sure Barkley or jeanty might.

But let’s remember the best player on the best offense of all time was Orlando pace. Not the wr or running backs.

Veach already addressed LT immediately at the start of FA. He’s addressed WR in. Back-to-back years.

This team had the worst RB room in the league last year. They had only 2 explosive runs of 20+ yds (last) and both happened after Thanksgiving.

The offense was at its best when Andy had a talented back. It was that way in Philly with Westbrook and McCoy, it was that way with Jamaal, it was that way with Kareem.

“Get Mahomes back to 2022” okay when McKinnon was 2nd on the team with 9 receiving TD’s? Guy had 13 receiving TD’s and 15 overall in a season and a half.

Helping the QB also means getting him a RB that is more explosive than Derrick Nnadi
