Thats something I probably have at least once a week year round, but a well made stuffing with celery, onion, butter and all of the turkey drippings is a treat I only get once or twice a year

Same. Mashed Taters are ok, but can have them anytime.

Dad was a Taters guy. He wouldn't eat stuffing. "Why would you eat stuffing when you can eat mashed potatoes. Stuffing has no taste!"

Sometimes I do this with the leftovers. In a 9x5 loaf pan I layer, turkey, gravy, stuffing, gravy, top with mashed potatoes. Wrap it in foil and throw in the freezer. Makes a nice leftover meal some cold February weekend.
