Agreed.

The Chiefs could use McDuffie and Sneed interchangeably, moving McDuffie inside to match smaller shiftier slots, or Sneed inside when they want to match bigger slots, as an example.

And they're both excellent blitzers. So you can imagine they'll get creative there too.

Both excellent blitzers. Both great against the run.

Found this,

The Chiefs have needs at receiver after the Tyreek Hill trade, but instead trade up with the Patriots (who have a real need at cornerback) for Trent McDuffie, the best CB in this draft not named Sauce Gardner or Derek Stingley Jr. McDuffie is an aggressive man cornerback with great range who will fit perfectly in Steve Spagnuolo’s defense.

There were any number of Yahoo sports writers who could have been chosen by Death. It's a tragedy that it had to be Terez

The Athletic gave us the 3rd lowest grade in the 1st on the McDuffie pick (Patriots got the lowest; someone else also got a C-)

Whatever.

The picks just a pretty obvious fit. He wasn't going to make it past Buffalo and that was what it cost to move up.

I might have preferred standing pat and taking Kyler Gordon at 29 (in fact I'm pretty sure I would have), but that doesn't change the fact that this is a solid choice in a vacuum.

This kid is a stud, a baller, a dawg. Anybody who doesn't like the trade up to get him has a negative football IQ. Great pick, Vartch!!

Love Gordon, but love McDuffie even more. Legit 1st round talent/grade, when we didn’t think we’d get one.

I’d take the trade.

But you really can’t go wrong either way.

Don't care about "draft grades". How many years did the Jets "win the draft"?

Kid can play it's a win. Kid is hurt a lot but can play it's a push. Kid busts it's an L.

But if you want to draft nerd, Cheatriot ****bag pick was pretty bad. That dude is available. in the second round. ****ing Simmons on his podcast was talking about taking the keys away from an elderly parent and we may be getting there with Belicheat.
