Trade whatever possible for a LT prospect

I don’t care. If there’s a LT in this draft that they feel can be a good quality LT, do it.

I don’t care if it would cost three 1st rd picks. Mahomes is not gonna be this athletic for much longer.

It needs to happen

Well pretty much all the local media folks are saying/suggesting that LT is not gonna be the pick in the first rd so it seems unanimous.

I do think a project like Grant or Ersery is in play in rd 2. I think they want another real option to replace Jawaan in 2026 if possible.

Look, it if's LT at #31, it's up to Veach, his scouts, and the doctors.

If everyone feels like he's going to be fine, then sure, take Simmons.

If not, take Conerly if you really want to go LT. Apparently, next year's draft doesn't look any better, so yeah, take one if you want to take the risk. I see both sides.

Bur I don't think I want to give up picks to go get any of them.

Look at the general tenor of this thread. I'm not talking about you specifically. I'm talking about the overall sense of fear that has infected this place over the past year or so.

If it's unanimous this early, it's most likely a smokescreen.

I don't disagree at all.

The Chiefs could be willing to take that risk.

I'm simply saying that I wouldn't be. I didn't see him as some elite blue-chip slam dunk long-term badass LT prospect before the injury.

If he's a guy that would have gone in a fairly notorious soft spot for OTs anyway (the history of OTs in that 8-15 range isn't sparkling by any means) and now you have an injury that we simply CANNOT know how it will turn out -- I'm just out on that.

It isn't that I do/do not trust the Chiefs medical staff -- it's that no matter how good they are, they can't get an answer to this question. It's nothing more than gambling.

And I don't think the reward is worth the risk. If this were a guy who'd have been a top 5 pick but/for the injury and the clear best OT in the draft, that's one thing. But I don't think that's the case. And as such, I'm just not interested.

Maybe the Chiefs will be. Maybe they think he was a better prospect pre-injury than I do. Maybe they have different data than I've been able to find on the injury recovery.

Shit, maybe they're just less risk averse.

But for me, I think it's incredibly unlikely that Simmons would be at the top of my board there.

Conerly is the only tackle that I think is in play rd 1. He has traits that fit what Andy looks for in his tackles and he’s much more technically sound than Kingsley and with better feet. He seems to be similar to what Eric Fisher was as a prospect IMO.

His pro day solidified that for me bc his arms were 34 inches. Speaking of…God did the combine **** that up. A ton of tackles and DL are reporting longer arm lengths at their pro days, which are measured by NFL scouts, not anyone at the college program.

Not sure who did the measuring at the combine but they better freshen up that resume.

Im Not sure how much better Hampton projects than judkins I consider them similar. Very muscular nfl ready body types. I’ll have to read more about his strengths vs judkins (who we can proly get round 2)

The more I look at jeanty the more I see a top 3 back in the entire nfl. Guy is tremendous

Yeah, that's my bad. I had it in my head that he played RT Year 1 at Ohio State, too.

So less eval risk than I was saying, but still significant injury/recovery risk.

Yeah...there is about 99.99% chance of that scenario not playing out.

My bet that KC will take a RB somewhere but not before the 3rd or 4th. The run on them will probably start in the 3rd somewhere.

You dont burn assets on RB in a class that is littered with them.

If KC makes a move...it would likely be trading back with a team like the Jets/Browns that want Dart. It's a good year for round 2-3...

I don't see the Chiefs trading up that high for a number of reasons...but if they did i would hope it would be for a quality O-lineman.

And I don't think the RB depth in the draft is as good as some say....I especially don't like seeing draftniks saying we will draft Scattebo....

Now I wouldn't mind seeing Judkins or Henderson...or Dylan Sampson....but after seeing some analysis of the Top 30 RB's in this draft I am not convinced that many of them aren't already what we have in Pacheco or the guy we got from San Fran.
