Why don't you keep the cross-thread hostility in the threads about the Patriots. This is a friendly thread.

Well thanks. I guess what I mean is, good food usually ends up with lots of color and color contrasts. You know, like grill marks, good carmelization, etc. From that perspective, the tater salad, chicken, and green salad looked fine. I'm just not into little garnishes around the plate that don't do anything for the flavor, so sometimes I just slop the colorful food on the plate. But yes, we do often make our initial determination of food based on how it looks.

ANyone here tried Home Chef? I do like 95 percent of the cooking in our house. I don't generally use recipes, and if I do, I rarely stick to them amount for amount or ingredient for ingredient.
My wife doesn't cook much, and ordered a few meals from Home Chef. A bit pricey, but overall, very tasty. She ordered spicy shrimp and grits, and asian turkey lettuce wraps. The little kit comes with the meat vacuum packed, and little packets and jars of all the ingredients measured out. YOu just follow the directions. Perfect if you aren't into experimenting and if you aren't real comfortable in the kitchen. |

Again, I'd just as soon cook my own food and come up with new recipes and play around with old ones. But this stuff is very good, fairly healthy, and very easy. And, if it gets her making a meal or two per week then I'm all for it. One other thing, over to the side of the recipe it has the ingredients list for ingredients and their amounts. So, you can keep the recipe cards in the binder they send you, and make it again on your own.
