How a pair of attention whores destroyed any ounce of credibility they ever had

Enjoy. And **** EB.

How a season-long rift between Mahomes and Bieniemy ruined the AFC Championship

I think EB was standing there flicking his bean, iirc...

"You like WASP?" - Eric Beinemy's iconic input into the Chiefs most iconic play since 65tpt.

Patrick Mahomes plays one bad half of football in an important game and the only way some people can deal with it is to create fairy tale narratives.

Body language and hearsay equals proof of something greater. Disagreements and arguments happen at all jobs, let alone in the pressure cooker that is the NFL. A shove and an eye roll does not equal contractually obligated play calling and a wider NFL conspiracy to provide good optics. If thats your interpretation then you were already looking for a conspiracy to begin with.

And maybe its simply because you are so self obsessed that you can't understand why your favourite team doesnt win the super bowl every year. It must be a conspiracy! The only possible explanation for Patrick Mahomes playing a poor half is a season long rift leading to deliberate sabotage of the team. It couldn't be like every great player in the history of sports, that Patrick is human, and occasionally fails (as did the rest of the team).

You're not as perceptive as you believe you are. Football teams are full of disagreements. Daily. It doesn't mean great rifts and conspiracies exist.

He actually asked EB who then seemed to talk to someone on his headset, because you know he doesnt have the authority to call plays and Patrick cant have two way conversations through his helmet...

Actually, it's quite the opposite :

“Crazy thing is,” Chiefs quarterbacks coach Mike Kafka said told NBC Sports’ Peter King after the game, “Patrick called it. He asked for it, and Andy [Reid] called it.”

Here’s that exchange between Mahomes and Bieniemy:

Mahomes: “What we thinking?”

[Bieniemy nods his head in thought while looking at his playsheet]

Mahomes: “Do we have time to run Wasp?”

Bieniemy: “You like Wasp?” [Into his headset] “He’s asking for Wasp.”

Bieniemy: “What down and distance do you like it?”

Mahomes: “If it’s first-and-10, Wasp, or I’ll run it at any down and distance, I don’t care.”

Well, that's that. Don't like it. Mahomes has not chimed in with joy so who knows.

The fact this thread won't just die now is amazing. It's well over a week old at this point, been proven mostly incorrect by now, and y'all just can't help yourselves.

Uh, Ras wanted to bet you on wether or not Mahomes would consult with EB on the sidelines and you said that he never had before. The transcript you are sharing here is Mahomes consulting with EB, you dumb ****.

Taking it back down made everyone want to read it.
