In a win or go home game such as the AFC Championship, I still think the best use of our weapons is this.

Hollywood and Worthy threaten deep.

If the other team comes out with any formation where the safeties are not a million miles from the LOS, send everyone deep and let Mahomes bomb away until the other team changes coverage to shell.

Then pepper intermediate area of the field to Kelce, D Hop, and JuJu for 8-12 yards a play along with some IPAC/Hunt. You can even do some Worthy end arounds and LOS stuff too, once the other team is backed off.

Basically we run the 2022 Chiefs offense on steroids because instead of MVS we have Worthy/Hollywood and instead of Kelce/JuJu we have Kelce/D Hop/JuJu.

With the right match-up, I feel like Hopkins can eat up defenses with back shoulder throws

A good plan that LT throws a monkey wrench in.

But this should be the vibe for sure.

Can you imagine this team with an elite LT

I do think we see a lot of 2 high in the playoffs.

The plan will be to make us work for it, because you gotta get a turnover to beat the Chiefs, especially with the defense LEADING THE LEAGUE in points allowed again.

Hopefully we see a lot more snaps for D-Hop and Hollywood in the Playoffs. Combine them with Kelce and Xavier. Good luck trying to cover everyone.

If the other team backs off into shell, the LT only needs to hold up long enough for Mahomes to throw a pass ten yards down the field.

In 2022 that was Orlando Brown Jr. I think Thuney is equal to that as far as holding up long enough for that to happen.

The only long passes that need to take place are for punishing teams who try anything other than 2 deep safeties and zone coverage on us.

I also think it’s kind of a shame he won’t get anywhere near 1000 yds/season over a potential 4th rd pick.

I hope he decides to return next season, but I won’t be surprised if he chooses to go to a team that actually gives him a chance to do what he does best, instead of making him play decoy all the time.
On a team that treats the regular season as a practice, it is the best move you can make. Kudos to whoever made the decision. Probably my main man Darth Veech.

Despite coming over via trade during the season, Hopkins is still within striking distance of earning some extra cash. Although his snap percentages in Kansas City have been lower than expected (51%), other volume-based possibilities remain on the table. Hopkins, who has 56 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns this season, is one big game away from making as much as $1 million combined in Week 18.

With nine receptions in Denver, Hopkins would hit a $250,000 benchmark for 65 on the year. The same is true if he amasses 140 receiving yards, which would get him to 750 overall and earn another $250,000. Last, but certainly not least, Hopkins needs just one receiving touchdown to get to six this season and earn a whopping $500,000.

Yeah, remember some of those bonuses were stipulated when he was signed, which is part of the reason I haven’t been happy about his snaps. It’s like they purposefully prevented him from getting his $$$. I realize that’s probably not the case, it it does look that way based on how they restricted his usage.

I don’t see Reid feeding Hopkins enough for 9 receptions/140 yards, but I would be surprised if Hopkins isn’t in for a shot or two in the end zone.
