Dude it was a freak play. FFS he was trying to make a tackle and missed he’s not a LB man

I thought that was obvious but someone is clearly a poster child for mental poverty and didn't get that.

Rashee even made the strip so if Pat isn't there we still have Rashee and maybe someone else gets that ball back. But our defense is going to be elite so just chalk up a series and then come back out for the next to be better.

It was his worst series of choices as a player here EVER. No one can argue with that.

Maybe you missed the part there where I said someone just needs to tell Pat don't try and make tackles on interceptions???????????????

Do we want Pat to have a season ending injury over trying to make a tackle on a pick?

I swear I feel like some of ya'll are just arguing for the sake of it. This seems like a common sense thing.

You came across in the GDT like you wanted Mahomes benched.
It was total over-reaction.

He threw a ****ing pic, it happens.

I agree.

As for what happened in the heat of the moment it's just instincts. Mahomes ****ed up and tried to make up for it. Very poor decision, but it's hard to blame him for making it.

It was freaky. But looking at the replay, there was a huge scrum of like 5-6 players on that sideline, and Pat is at the end lowering his shoulder. He's kinda lucky he didn't get hurt, a few guys with momentum heading his way could have ended badly.

Again, just a poor decision with an awful outcome.

I think we can all agree that "**** Skyy Moore", "Toney sucks **** him", "C'mon Pat do better" and "wtf pat?" are totally fine reactions.

... but "Pat sucks, **** him!" to one of the greatest players in NFL history, that has already brought you 4/5 Super Bowls is absolutely insane to say.

I get it, and honestly when it happened, I saw Mahomes run to the sideline, to get in on the tackle, and I was screaming at him to get the **** out of the way! Dude, you already threw a pic don't make things worse! But I had no idea that making things worse would be to take out Rice... I was thinking more along the lines of injuring himself trying to make the tackle.

Just an all-around shit play in Chief's history. In fact, I can't think of a worse one. I know shit happens, but special shit happened on that play.

Yeah.

"He's not a LBer, what do you expect?" isn't really the best rebuttal to "Patrick shouldn't be trying to make tackles on interception returns"...

That's kinda the point.
