There was already a lot of hype around Mahomes before we drafted him from Riddick, Gruden, Reid, Payton etc..

Can't say the same about Assweiler, Semen and Lynch.

Out of curiosity I looked up what the drop rate was for Allen, assuming that there was at least a little truth to the "supporting cast" argument. Needless to say, there really isn't.

Drop rates for the top QBs

Lamar Jackson - 8.5%
Baker Mayfield - 8.0%
Josh Rosen - 7.5%
Mason Rudolph - 6.6%
Josh Allen - 4.8%
Sam Darnold - 4.3%

Matt Ryan is on the verge of signing a new mega deal as well. May very well be done before March 14th and we'd have our first 30 million+ QB. Bad timing for the teams interested in Cousins.

Compared to Alex Smith, yeah.

But he hangs around the same area that Big Ben and Russell Wilson do in terms of TO's per game.

Mahomes is going to be even worse in the turnover department.

I'd love to have Cousins at $18M per year, which isn't going to happen. I don't like him very much above $25M per year.
