Considering the mash unit our offense became that game, that’s still the most impressive playoff win in the Andy-Patrick era in my opinion (Spags gets major flowers here, too).
I was more nervous for that game than I was for any of the Super Bowls or AFCCGs. They just new how to beat us and had our number.

It was the most important individual win of our dynasty and I stand by that.

Plus you make a good point about how things went in that game.

Very gimpy Mahomes
Lost Hardman
Lost Toney
Lost JuJu

Had to rely on Playoff MVS, Marcus Kemp, and Skyy Moore at wideout.

My blood pressure was through the roof in the 4th quarter.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Lost Sneed and Gay on D, too.

I can only laugh whenever Bengals fans blame the refs. Burrow had two shots on our depleted D late in the fourth quarter Burrow with the ball, 1st and 10 with under 2 minutes to play was the worst nightmare of every Chiefs fan.

And yet, we slammed the door on Joe and our special teams (led by Skyy Moore) and our offense (led by an injured Patrick) led the game-winning drive.

You forgot the part where MVS was the only non-practice squad WR on the field.

I'm now seeing 3 outcomes.

1. Chiefs win by 17+ in a dominant force and nobody can cry about the refs
2. KC loses to some awful calls because of the outside pressure.
3. Chiefs get calls because the refs are annoyed by the mass morons and KC wins with something questionable.

It was a line in the sand moment for sure. Losing to them again would have been crushing and I agree that the pressure we faced as a club that day was absolutely massive. But we have no dynasty without coming back from 10 down in the fourth quarter of the first superbowl victory.

Bills fans have an interesting fan base. Evidently, according to many of them, the game now hinges on whether Benford plays or not.

I was amused by a few Bills’ podcasts who had people on to talk about their injuries but in every case they didn’t ask about availability for the Chiefs game. They were asking about if they would be available in time for the Super Bowl.

Strange.

I'm sure they'll be fine when they're watching the SB from home, or some pool at a vacation destination, or wherever
