Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

LC9 sitting in my safe is probably my least favorite firearm out of around 50-60.

I would turn it on myself if forced to use it in self defense.

Heh. I'm not at the 50-60 level, but otherwise, pretty much this. It's my least used and least liked. But for a cheapie pocket gun, it's adequate.

I really should take it to the range and run some more rounds through it.

I had an LC9 and got rid of it because the trigger was complete ass. But I have heard the new model of the LC9 really took care of this problem and the new trigger is fantastic. Haven't tried it though.

Walther Creed for $249. From the videos I've seen, it's a pretty good gun; amazingly good for that price.

Walther makes fantastic handguns, and even the creed is a quality choice for the price point. Canik makes walther clones for slightly less, and they will likely have more market support than walther in the coming years due to popularity.

Yeah, for someone who really doesn't keep up with what's what in handguns I've always heard good things about Walther.
Comparing the Creed and M2, it looks like I couldn't go wrong with either one. I think I'm leaning towards the M2 just for the size alone.

My next pistol will likely either be the CZ P10 C or a Walther PPQ.

Ruger LC9S Pro. Very good trigger (striker).

At about $300, I would look at a gen 1 S&W Shield9. Though I think S&W has another rebate coming around, and if so I'd look at the Shield9 2.0. For the money, probably not a better choice on the market.

Dunit's favorite site, Palmetto State, has a deal on Trijicon MRO red dots - $350.

These are fantastic sites. I paid at least $100 more for mine.
