At this point, Howard has zero awareness outside his studio and his Hamptons mansion. I think Ronnie the Limo driver drapes a shade over him like a parakeet for the trips to and from.

Forget understanding the Midwest, let alone Kansas. You could drop him off anywhere in the five boroughs more than 5 blocks from his Sirius/XM studio and he'd be utterly lost.

But then, he's always been a recluse. Clear back in the 80s/90s he lost his first marriage fuming in the basement the whole time he wasn't on-air.

Mahomes will stay in KC because it’s the city that gave him a chance, that embraced him, that welcomed him, that supported him, that celebrated him. It's been pointed out that Mahomes and his agent were actually HOPING that a smaller market team would draft him. The guy is from a small town in Texas, Kansas City probably seems like a big city to him.
