*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

It comes down to Andy. Will he be the friendly doughboy that won't run the score up or will he be BB from 07 and destroy teams when possible?

I'm hoping the aggressive side of Mahomes rubs off on Andy and the Chiefs try to average at least 40 points a game.

An improved defense does mean the Chiefs can be an even more aggressive offense since they will be able to get the ball back.

I've watched a ton of highlight reels of Mahomes '18. Still, I'd really like to see a compiled video of Mahomes' near interceptions. I remember there were a number of throws that were nearly picked off but the defenders just could'nt hang on to the heaters.

Happens to every quarterback

I’d say if every “near-interception” was caught he’d have about 20 picks

Of course he had some dropped touchdowns as well so he “should be” about 55-20 but it doesn’t work that way

Seth Kyser did a weekly grade of every throw in every game and Mahomes actually had an above average number of potential picks caught during the season compared to other QB's.

I bet our DB's dropped 8 or 9 this season, maybe the skewed the average.

Nah. We finally have a franchise QB, if he wants to get paid at market value, it's not time to go cheap.

Is he not wearing a seatbelt?!??!??? WTF MAHOMIE - PRECIOUS CARGO!

The team should make him ride in the back seat of a bulletproof Suburban - and a specially designed adult car seat with head restraints. And arm wrapped in bubblewrap.

Oh is it time to have another conversation about Mahomes' extension, which we're not even eligible to ****ing negotiate until the END of next season?

There's no discussion to be had. Mahomes will command lots and lots of money, and we're going to give him that money.

End of story.

Did he just say the Chiefs went 13-3 the prior season!?? Try 10-6.

He must’ve forgotten when we didn’t have a first down the entire first half - at home - against Buffalo.
