The QB's in this draft have really high ceilings but they all have one obvious flaw. There just isn't that 6'4'' 225 pound stud like Wentz or Luck.

Darnold has turnover issues
Rosen has frame/attitude issues
Allen has his accuracy issues
Mayfield is short

I think every QB in this class has unique traits though, and any one of them could become a top 5 QB.

Funny how you didn't bring drops up on Mahomes's first possession or the dropped td pass.

Vance Joseph’s team was blown out more than the Browns this year. Got blown out by the Texans staff at the Senior Bowl with Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen

I’m so glad this guy is in Denver.

You mean kind of like last year's QB class?

Hmm... who's been saying that if 2018 is this supposedly great class, then 2017 is fairly decent as well...

The top 3 QB's last year would've been the 5th, 6th, and 7th QB's taken in this draft.

You can't actually believe that...

If you want to hate on Mahomes because he was drafted by a division rival, fine, I understand blind rage...

You couldn't tell me with a straight face that Watson (who I've been highly critical of regarding his hype train) would go after AT LEAST Mayfield

Edit - my wording got a little sloppy at the end of that post; what I was trying to express is that there is no way in hell you would want Mayfield over Watson if you followed your own criterion as it pertains to qbs

"This so called great QB class is very average. 2017 class will go down as much better. None are as good as Trubisky, Watson or Mahomes" - Greg Gabriel @greggabe

That's straight from a guy who directed an NFL scouting program for a decade with the Bears and scouted overall for 30 years. Very well respected opinion on NFL twitter.

I'd rather have Trubisky, Mahomes, OR Watson (and yes, I'm a Watson hater) over Rosen or Allen. And at this point I'd rather have Mahomes over Darnold and Mayfield. No, that's not me being a homer, either. I've seen how Mahomes has adjusted and improved in the NFL in such a short time. He's doing everything he needed to do if he was going to ever reach his full potential, which is insanely high. Darnold and Mayfield aren't polished enough products to take that away from Mahomes, and they pose larger question marks for their new teams than Mahomes currently does for KC.

No, that wasn't the case on draft day when we didn't know what Mahomes could do. With what we know now, though, absolutely he's be more attractive than any of the top guys as rookies.

As pure prospects, as in how that QB class was viewed at the time, not necessarily how they're viewed now...

Yes. Trubisky most likely would've been the 5th QB taken, and since Mahomes and Watson were picked 7 picks after Trubisky, they would've been the 6th or 7th QB's taken.

Sorry Joe, I think I'll believe the former scout's opinion.

If Greg Gabriel was so great at scouting QB's, why did the Bears trot out Jim Miller, Kordell Stewart, Craig Krenzel, Kyle Orton, and Rex Grossman while he was their scouting director?

They had such a hard time finding QB's they gave up two #1's, a 3, and Kyle Orton for Jay Cutler.

He did a great job building that defense though.

So you are saying him and Elway are very similar in scouting

Just like how Paxton Lynch would have been drafted 1st in 2017, right Knowmo?

And I'll take Gabriel's opinion over your shitty Donk homer opinions any day of the week.

Keep telling us how much Tim Tebow has improved, and how he's totally gonna fix his throwing set up and transform into an accurate passer! Just needs a little more time! He so totally wants to be great! Just give him time!
