Older Movies That Are Forgotten
Hate to say, in another thread about Peaky Blinders, Blacklist thread, both of which are a great series, but I get tired after a few views. Thus I needed a break.

So I surfed Netflix and found "Awakenings". One of the better Robin Williams obscure films. Not a fan of Robert De Niro, but a good flick from 1992.

I watched it a long time ago. Glad I found it again. I like historical films and a feel good or bad story.

Recommended.

What other hidden gems are out there...

We all have our preferences. This is a generic, not niche classic ala Rocky Horror Picture Show nor Monty Pythons stuff nor Casablanca.

Oh hell yes they are. I was reading through some of the IMDb trivia while I was watching it. One of the makeup guys was tasked with applying touch up makeup to her body throughout the naked scenes to ensure that it stayed perfect. He said that her 18-year-old body was pretty much perfect regardless, but he didn't mind the work.

Yes. Same with Roku and a few others. Lots of old TV series as well. Nothing edited with limited short commercials, and a timer running during commercial breaks so you know exactly how long you have to wait. I'm a big fan.

Youtube (not YouTubetv) has a large amount of older movies. Some are obscure, too.

I think you have to have a subscription though.

That's a good one Pepe. I blew a friend's wife's mind (huge Grey's Anatomy fan) when I showed her all the movies Dempsey was in during his youth.

It's the Robert Downey Jr. effect. People act like he didn't exist prior to 2008. It's really weird.
