Bell is a great receiver too he would have had 200 yards vs the Pat's with how they played coverage on Hill

Oh he's good, he's really good. IN A SPECIFIC SYSTEM WITH A SPECIFIC BLOCKING SCHEME.

Which is the exact opposite of ours.

He'd average 3 yards a carry here, and I'm not exaggerating. Our line is not made of maulers like Pittsburgh's is. Our guys are quick and we use a lot of misdirection and movement to create holes. RB's in Reids scheme are always more quick than fast in a straight line speed kind of way and are multi-faceted, complete players. It's a hallmark of the west-coast scheme no matter who runs it, going back to Roger Craig. For Reid, going back to Bryan Westbrook.

Bell is a plodder; he waits, and waits, and sits on an offensive lineman's hip pocket until an opening clears and then he bursts through.

That's NOT how we do things. He's a terrible fit for this offense.

Is there any chance they are considering a big name offensive lineman instead of WR/RB/TE? If so, who would that be?

I'm all for making us an offense powerhouse. But at this point, I think an offensive weapon maybe gets us a point or two per game. A defensive weapon maybe saves us 7. We don't need a great defense but **** if I see a terrible defense again.

I don’t see a problem with Andy getting another offensive weapon.. We have more resources due to Marcus Peters and could potentially get another draft pick for Justin Houston.

It’s an offensive league and despite a horribly coached defense, we were an offsides away from the Super Bowl.

Defense has Ford, Jones, Hitchens, Fuller, some developmental pieces (Ward/Lucas), a 2nd rd pick (Tanoh), an entire draft class and probably 2 more early rd picks on this defense.

That should be enough with this staff.

I think they'll look for another slot wr who can beat man - Edelman esc. Do I think that would be a big name? No. But given our cap it wouldn't surprise me if a couple of trades happen.

I don't mind adding offense. I just think it moves our offense from great to just above great. Whereas a big move on defense moves us from bad to good. If we improve our ol or slot receiver with lower to mid range guys.... Great. But we don't need yet another superstar on offense given all our needs... Not it it it comes with a big price tag.

They don’t need a true slot WR in this offense, everyone moves around so much that it doesn’t really matter.

But I do think they could use a legit #3 receiver who can beat man coverage if he’s asked to step in for a Watkins/Hill injury.

True. I only say "slot" because he would be the 3rd. I think a good number 3 would open a bunch of stuff up. Conley, Robinson didnt come on like they hoped.
