Let's be honest here Mahomes has how many 3rd down conversions, TDs, 4th down conversions, etc plays where he's scrambling and making something out of nothing. Earlier in the season, he was killing it from the pocket because the playcalling was attacking the defense perfectly. Now because of injuries and missing Hunt and more game film, Andy hasn't adjusted as well as we wish he would. Those same big plays down the field that Mahomes made a killing on are too few and far between now. We really need Watkins back and we really need Reid to step on throats.

The Chargers and Steelers games were both big. Bigger than the Rams game Broncos game was huge as well (at the time it was a battle for first place) STOOPID narrative |

new nickname check down pat. .
what happed to throwing the ball down the field? I still have faith in Mahomes but he couldnt even muster a first down with 5 minutes left in the game..3rd and 3 and he throws a 1 yrd pass to Travis. . Play calling was shit. . I still take Patrick over every player in the NFL. . people forget hes only 16 games into his career. . . this game will be another lesson that makes him even better |

You know what I like this team when they are underdogs, not being blown up people's asses. Good. Let the media move on and start crowning the Chargers/Pats/Rams/Saints. Put the pressure to perform and not choke on those teams instead. Give Reid and the Chiefs a pass to play relaxed and with house money.

100% playcalling. Reid has neutered Mahomes some. At the same time defenses are taking away what worked early in the season and Reid hasn't adjusted yet. And missing Watkins is big add in Hunt who apparently teams were really game planning for and that spells trouble. Amazingly the team is still putting points on the board and moving the ball it's just in spots they are horrible.

Hopefully the front office can build a serviceable defense in the next few years. If they fail in this regard, don't be surprised if he moves to a different team when the time comes. He has never had a decent defense backing him...not in high school, not in college, and so far not in the NFL either. He deserves better than that. Otherwise it's just a massive waste of his talent as we saw at Texas Tech.
