50 Beers to Try Before You Die

Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

http://www.wisdeo.com/articles/view_post/2984
(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

This is about beer, not beer apps. You probably need a new thread.

I got this for my birthday.

It has two of each of the following, plus 2 collector tulip glasses.

Can't wait to try these out.

The Abt 12 is one of my absolute favorites. A classic representation of that particular style.

Finally got around to picking up a 4-pack of Great Divide Hercules Double IPA.

Also stumbled across a 4-pack of Hoptimum from Sierra Nevada.

I'm a huge fan of Lagunitas Sucks, Hopslam and Bell's Two Hearted - what should I be expecting?

Don't know, but that reminds me...

I saw a Smokestack Series beer today I had never seen before. Was a sour/wild ale, but was NOT Love Child. Can't find it on their website either. Can't remember the name for the life of me.

EDIT: Found it. Terra Incognita. Anyone tried it?

It's a wild ale, but it's not sour like Love Child. If you go in thinking that it's a similar beer, you'll be very surprised.

I found it to be very earthy, with just a touch of tartness. The bourbon barrel is also pretty strong in this stuff. It probably needs a year or two to mellow out.

It's a collaboration with Sierra Nevada. I enjoyed it a lot.

Two of the maltier IIPAs out there. Hercules is very floral, while Hoptimum is one of the most bitter beers I've ever had. Hercules is a B beer for me, while Hoptimum is a C.

Jesus.

Guess I need to know what grade you give Two Hearted, Lagunitas Sucks and Hopslam.

On the surface, it sounds like I wasted $20.
