I’m wondering if Greinke did something to annoy the Royals FO.

We pretty much told him he had a standing offer to return in the Fall. He hinted he wanted to end up near his home in Seattle. I wonder if he waited too long on his end and the Royals moved on.

I think he'd be decent in the bullpen honestly. Could do long relief if needed. He was pretty damn good in the first inning last year, so maybe that'd translate to the bullpen. He had an ERA of 2 in the 1st inning. He's probably done though.

He could have possibly been the last pitcher for a long time to reach that milestone and would have been a member of a insanely prestigious group. He'd be the 20th pitcher to get to 3000 strikeouts with the only active pitcher that's even remotely close to it being Kershaw. Kershaw is 45 away and will probably get it, but it's not guaranteed.

I know it's really unlikely, but hopefully Greinke pitches next year, because he didn't retire I don't believe. I know he's different than most people, but I'd be sick sitting there being only 21 strikeouts away from such a prestigious stat.

Um, I love ProZack as much as the next guy but... he is done. He was pretty bad last season and...can now go off into the sunset and the HOF.

Say what you want about the trade, but Hunter Harvey doesn't want to pitch through some soreness. I kind of wonder if he ever really wanted to be in Kansas City.

Bubic should be getting high leverage innings. He can also go 2 innings, so he should have gotten the 7th and 8th, but our idiot manager just won't do it. The guy has 2 appearances in August. It's just stupid as ****.

Not even a little. I don't want that dude anywhere near the mound right now. His last game was the only game with us that he hasn't allowed at least 2 people on base and he still gave up a hit.

He's pitched 5 2/3 innings and has
6.34 ERA - 4 ER - 8 hits - 4 Walks - 2.116 WHIP - 1 HBP - 5 Ks

He hasn't been even close to good.

They depended on him to show up and compete, he hasn't. Like I said him not competing screw the bullpen up.

First time this season I've been disappointed in the outcome of a game.

Some of the managerial decisions lately have been silly and have cost the Royals the opportunity to tighten up that Central Division and firm up the Wild Card race
