I'd pay him up to $15M with a good chunk of it being incentives. Any more than that, I move on to Tyrod Taylor.

And he's going to be even pricier, more than likely. You want a cheap QB? Go with Kaepernick. Or stick with the shit guys you have on the roster. |

Sam Bradford is always hurt. You get what you pay for Knowmo, and behind that OL? Yikes.
Tyrod Taylor is scheduled to make $18 million next year. I doubt he wants less than that if he goes to Denver.

If that's the case I'm willing to go all the way down to Old Man McCown. I'm not looking for a veteran QBOTF. I just want to rent a guy for a year.

Teams with a potential need at QB
Bills Broncos Browns Cardinals? Chargers? Colts? Giants Jaguars Jets Redskins Steelers? Who knows when Luck will be back. Palmer, Rivers, and Roethlisberger have openly flirted with retirement. Who's to say a team like the Browns don't want a veteran AND a draft pick? If the Broncos plan is free agency, there's potential for a ton of competition. |

He'd be an upgrade over the four garbagemen currently on the roster

See, VJ was a good up and coming DC - he hadn't even had time to make his mark at that level yet. I'm sure he has good leadership qualities, but he wasn't ready to be a HC - especially for a team like the Last Place Denver Broncos who have a history of winning and have an impatient front office and an impatient and entitled fan base. I also think the front office greatly overestimated the talent on hand, especially at QB, and felt that it would provide VJ the needed pieces to maintain a winning record while learning on the job - Elway missed BIG on that scenario, so it put VJ in a bad situation.
