Older Movies That Are Forgotten

Hate to say, in another thread about Peaky Blinders, Blacklist thread, both of which are a great series, but I get tired after a few views. Thus I needed a break.

So I surfed Netflix and found "Awakenings". One of the better Robin Williams obscure films. Not a fan of Robert De Niro, but a good flick from 1992.

I watched it a long time ago. Glad I found it again. I like historical films and a feel good or bad story.

Recommended.

What other hidden gems are out there...

We all have our preferences. This is a generic, not niche classic ala Rocky Horror Picture Show nor Monty Pythons stuff nor Casablanca.

There are a few scenes I remember... this one in particular... not sure why but it was always funny to me.

That was a great movie. There's a scene in a conference room of the marketing firm he used to work for where the CEO asks one of the marketing directors to tell him something truthful and the guy panics and says something like "I-I-I like young boys!" And the CEO screams at him "ABOUT THE PRODUCT YOU IDIOT!!!"

I laughed for ten minutes straight after that one.

Currently watching 1985's Lifeforce. While the movie was largely forgotten, the body of the space alien vampire girl has never been forgotten.

Available on Tubi for anybody interested.

Iron Eagle has a damn good soundtrack.

I watched it hundreds of times growing up while playing with Legos.

Fatal Instinct (1993)

I loved this movie back in the day. Armand Assante is underrated.

I like the setup of that movie. But once it gets to London, it’s boooring…..

I guess it's older than I think (almost 30 ****ing years - Christ). But I love The Ghost and the Darkness. It's ****ing good and I never hear anyone talk about it. Plus Michael Douglas is ****ing awesome.

Me and my buddy still say "Most certainly. Absolutely. Yes."

Jewel of the Nile is a guilty pleasure of mine. Everybody loves Romancing the Stone.

Billy Ocean's soundtrack is nice, too.
