The biggest thing with the 1 seed isn't even HFA. It's the bye. 1 less game.

It’s a terrible matchup for them
It is a terrible matchup.

But look at Guardian's post - an automatic loss for the Bills? I don't think so. At all.

It's not avoiding the game that matters - but getting the rest. Healing up. The bodies not having to take a pounding for an extra week.

There isn't a round 1 team that any KC player or fan fears...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

1 less game to win. 3 vs 4.

It's a huge deal to have the bye.

The AFC is weaker this year than last year.

There's no Bangles and both the Buffalo and Baltimore defenses suck baows. The wild card teams aren't very impressive either.

I'd really love to open round 2 vs. Denver but I seriously doubt that happens.

Looks like Pickens hamstring is worse than they thought. He's going to be out against the Eagles, and maybe the Ravens/Chiefs too.

I get what the matchup says on paper. That's why they play the games. I could totally see Buffalo winning this game.

They did. I can’t see that working against the Lions.

For one thing, Rasul Douglas got hurt against the Rams 2x. He has a back and knee injury. They don’t have strong depth here.

For another, the Lions’ OL is going to give Goff more time to throw than KC’s gave Mahomes.

I disagree. The Wild card teams are tougher this year. The Chargers/Broncos could pose a tough matchup, for KC at least. Also, either Pittsburgh or Baltimore will be a wild card team.

Last year's wild card teams were Pittsburgh (with Rudolph at QB), Cleveland (with Flacco at QB), and Miami. None of those teams were built for the playoffs.

The Bengals didn't make the playoffs last year.

I totally get it. It's a bad matchup for the Bills. But acting like they have no chance is just silly.

Ok nothing is "automatic" I'm saying, if I had to put 100K down on this game it's an easy choice here. Not even a second thought.

For sure, if I was going to bet, I'd go with the Lions. I just have this gut feeling it's gonna be hairier than anybody thinks.

I can def see that, I swear nothing we've needed this year has come under relaxing circumstances at all.

I wouldn’t say “no chance.” They would need to have a crazy day on offense and win in a high-scoring shootout where they get the ball last. That type of game.

I read that he’s doubtful for the Philly game this weekend. If that’s true and they’re not pulling the gamesmanship shit, I’d bet he plays against us.

Personally, I think they’re going to drop these next two games against the Eagles and Ravens so they will def need him against us.
