Yeah I think they are definitely more prepared and were hoping they would be on the surface... They had called in some help from Canada . I think theyve gone out on the surface about 100 miles in all directions. It only goes 3mph so I think its fairly limited as to where it could have ended up and then they can calculate where it might drift. Hopefully it is on the surface because i think there should be air left a little while longer. I just fear the worst because of the previous reasons. I dont know though. It seems like the two biggest possibilities are the hull imploding, and the thing getting snagged down below... but if it was snagged, supposedly they should be able to text....But maybe it is snagged AND they had some technical issues but didnt have hull failure. I cant even imagine this father's feelings if his son is in there with him and having to watch him face death. Ugh. Just regular failures and life can be hard enough

yeah.. The thing hasnt really made THAT many trips down that deep as far as i know. I think about 3 times. And possibly one of those 3 times it didn't have a full 5 people. i was trying to look up about previous journeys and i think 12 people have gone down . Which is 3 trips of 4 each. One little rip in that gasket at pressure and theyre ****ed

Wow, good point about the floating. Even if this thing makes it back to the surface, it's airtight by definition and if they were bolted in, they're screwed after a certain amount of time.
My money is on implosion. It's the simplest means of failure.

Could be aliens. Or mermen.
Can't rule out a Kraken or bigfoot either.

So, apparently, they lost comms Sunday morning at 9:45 am. The Coast Guard wasn't alerted until 5:40 pm Sunday. I get that it's normal for the comms to go out, but wouldn't you think something isn't right if they aren't able to communicate for over an hour plus, especially since their entire voyage relies on communicating with people on the surface via text/GPS?

https://oceangate.com/expeditions/past-expeditions.html <-- past expeditions
None of their past expeditions have the Titan sub listed as the vehicle used. They have another sub called cyclops they use. SO apparently good news, they still have a sub if you guys wanna book a trip.

Random useless story. When I went out the Aleutian Islands back in 2010, there was one island where you could see a shipwreck inside a shipwreck. Apparently a ship got caught in a storm and was thrown up on the beach on an island, and then years later a smaller ship got caught in a similar storm and was thrown up on the beach in the identical spot and slammed into the larger ship. I've got a picture of it somewhere.

Well, at least they won't have to decompress if they make it to the surface.

My buddy and I have chalk-boards where we have to do math problems and a sort of connect the dot thing at 100 ft. If we !@#$ 'em up, dive's over; day lost. Because yeah, your brain can just kinda scramble on you. That's how a LOT of those lost divers have gone out. They just go a little nutty. We haven't had that happen to us yet but just read a couple of those stories and they'll keep you from fudging the results. You don't mess with Nitrogen Narcosis - it will **** up your day in a hurry.
