So we're just going to be reeruns and pretend that Hopkins is anywhere near the level of brokedick that JuJu was when we acquired him?

How about you just simply compare JuJu's stats and playing time last year in NE to Hopkins in Tennessee?

Why is anybody complaining this deal? They traded effectively nothing for a NFL-caliber WR. Hopkins doesn’t have to be even half of what he was last year to make this deal well worth it.

Pros
-He dominates those Rice slant routes, see above film from TEN, perfect replacement there!
-He was a downfield menace back in HOU coming down with deep 50-50 balls
-He’s familiar with M. Brown from his time in ARZ
-He’s no project, has some of the best hands in the league and he’s probably hungry for a SB
-He’s a proven pro, demands attention from the D, but won’t require WR 1 handling from our Chiefs
-He’s coming over for the perfect price, a 5th is nothing and what’s a 4th to us if we win the SB!?
-Hopefully he’s had some time to heal up from that preseason MCL issue
-Our 2025 WR core is stacked with talent: Hopkins, Rice, Brown, Worthy!!!

Negatives
-He could re-aggravate that MCL at any time and we’re down another stud WR
-I sure hope Kupp doesn’t end up in BAL now
Another positive… I would imagine having played with Deshaun and Kyler that he’s exceptional at scramble drill.

You're conflating abilities with injuries.

People are worried an older player, coming off injury will get hurt again. You said "We saw Andy do waht he did with Kareem and JJSS coming back from the dead"

Yeah, the question isn't whether Andy can get production out of talented players.

You got ahead of yourself out of excitement to argue. It happens to us all. Move on.

There are also people in this thread questioning whether Hopkins is washed you ****ing moron. I said nothing about injuries or any of that, that WAS your interpretation. Was Hunt injured or considered a brokedick? Or were people just concerned that he was washed?

Great trade for very little in return. Instantly improves the offense.

Regarding his health, they should rest him against the weakest teams like Carolina, Cleveland, maybe even Vegas. Don't want to ride him too hard before the playoffs with a brutal schedule ahead.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Veach still try to trade for Diontae Johnson.

The Chiefs wanted him during the offseason.

Tennessee is covering a portion of Hopkins’ salary and the Chiefs still have those two third round picks available.

Yup at worst assuming he’s healthy we get a solid route runner who just hits his spots and catches everything. A better version of juju. More than anything I just want mahomes to have targets he can trust.

More than likely he still has enough in the tank to also hit outside routes and a lot of those passes that right now are just off limits for our other WRs.
