I mean I get that it's hard to break in a rookie. But trying to do that at LT and not doing anything to your offense to help was...not great.

Feels like they had a better idea with Fisher -- put him at RT and work him up slowly. Give him a little help from the TE set on the strong side. Have him be in a spot where the QB can see him a little easier.

Maaaaaybe tossing untested guys into the LT spot was a poor decision and something of an unforced error even despite our desires to contend. Could've put Taylor over at LT and Kingsley/Morris at RT and things wouldn't have been nearly so rocky, IMO.
It goes back to your previous post. They drafted Fisher #1 overall after a 2-14 season. They had plenty of room to experiment and bring him along slowly. They don't have that now.

The burden of our expectations and success also sets us up to continue it even further.

You can't tell me that it doesn't benefit this team to have to take on the best efforts of their opponents week after week. It just sharpens the iron. They aren't ever going to be taken back by "playoff speed" and getting an opponent's full focus for four quarters; it's a weekly guarantee for them unlike it is for any other franchise.

I see it as the gift that keeps on giving, a nice revolving cycle. A bit exhausting, but wouldn't have it any other way and ultimately it's why they will threepeat.

Yes, I don't get why they realize they need to provide help when Thuney is in and not Morris or anyone else. They left Kingsley alone the most. Made no sense to me.

I am surprised they didn't think about moving Taylor over too. Seems less drastic than putting a squat (albeit elite) guard over there.

Yeah never understood why Taylor wasn't moved to LT. I'm still not sure why they think Thuney is a better option at LT than Taylor is.

Moving Taylor would have just resulted in Kingsley or Wanya starting at RT. They would have had a hole either way.

They're trying to do this with the least amount of shuffling possible.

At least that hole would not have been on Pats blind side!

Hopefully they go Denver with nothing to play for and experiment with Kingsley and Wanya.

Put Wanya at RG and Kingsley at LT and see what you have. And pray for Carson Wentz

Yeah this will actually be an interesting Week 18. Lot of roster rabble that needs to prove something. DL, CB. Hand the battle to Steele 20 times.

Yeah, I was surprised they didn't try that. They must REALLY feel that Taylor isn't the answer (even temporarily) at LT.

I mean he should have started the season or hell should have started last season.

It might have been easier for Morris or Kingsley to play RT and at least Mahomes doesn't have people coming from his blind side.

We also get a lot of stand alone games in prime time which I think is great for the playoffs. When you perform when all eyes are on you those are great reps to have in the bank. One huge moment last season was the team flying to Germany, doing all those press conferences, training in a different facility, playing in a building with split fanbases etc. That was a mini superbowl experience imo which was great preparation for the guys.
