I did like Lynch. Staylor and media people like Matt Miller were right that he was a moron.
Patrick Mahomes is better suited for success than Paxton Lynch. He did more at the LOS in college, as well as calling/changing plays which Paxton did not do at Memphis. Patrick also has Andy Reid coaching him...a proven QB guru. Wanna guess part of the reason why Carson Wentz looks so good? Philly is running the exact same offense as we are. It's Andy Reid's playbook and it's extremely QB friendly.

Yea I liked the tape a lot initially, but I clearly said that after hearing him talk and seeing his Wonderlic that he was a ****ing moron. You idiots just assumed it was because the Broncos drafted him.

Also, I clearly said hearing him speak factored into my change of heart too. The combination of the two completely changed my gut feeling that I had after watching the tape. If Mahomes were an idiot, I wouldnt be nearly as confident in him either. |

Mahhomes has a great arm and can move around in the pocket, time will tell if he can do it consistently enough at the NFL level. Hitting on a QB draft pick is so hard the chefs haven't even bothered drafting one in foreverS. He will have his moments, even Trevor looks good at times. Will Mmahomes be able to protect the ball as well as alice is going to the big question. Guys with big arms throw lots of INT's because they have the balls to try to fit it in anywhere, unlike alice, but your team needs to win the turnover battle to win games. That would be my concern with starting a 1st time starter next year. |

Though there is a risk, there is WAY more reward with a QB that has balls, than one that plays it safe. Give me a gun slinger who plays to WIN over a guy who plays not-to-lose any day. Especially if I have a coach who has coached guys like that in the past. This is a no brainer.

I didn't love Lynch. That was a joke post to O.City, who was with me on Geno Smith until he thought he was being smart by saying, "Yeah, but what if Sheldon Richardson?" When the Chiefs didn't draft Geno, he crowed about how smart he was for seeing Sheldon before anybody else.

He's an arm with a little bit of athleticism. He's not poised, confident, or much of a leader. He's not very accurate. He's got 21 INTs and a piss poor record in which Wyoming has lost to a ton of teams they should have beaten. He has given teams ZERO reason to believe he will have any chance of reaching his high potential based on what he's done in 2017. That's what happened to Tyler Bray, too. Wanna bet Allen drops out of the 1st round? |

And that's why they want the Quick Fix with a guy like Cousins or Drew Brees or Andrew Luck. They don't have the patience to develop a quarterback in a quarterback starved League. This applies to all fan bases really. You want the quick fix for the big season so you get the high expectations and meltdown when they don't come to pass. If you're developing a QB the expectations of great success are probably expectations that aren't going to be met. |
