Why would you just draft a QB to draft one with a high pick? That's what the Browns do.

This is not a concern of the Kansas City Chiefs any longer. You can take your drafting a QB arguments to the Mange.

If by that you mean getting to mediocrity, then sure.

Also, there’s nothing I’d enjoy more than Elway drafting for need. That’s worked out so well for us.

That's going to be about 30 million on the medium end. Might be able to get him for 28 5. But I question why he would come play for us on the low end. Especially before the draft when I think we will draft an offensive linemen and if the right one is there.

To get to 30 million I think you can say goodbye to at least Talib Anderson Stevenson Garcia Charles plus all the cap minus the 6 mil for the rookies. It will be tough.

And then he'll avoid the rush, keep his eyes up (something Smith has never done) and throw a rocket into a tiny little window 40 yards down field while running to his left and all will be right in the world again.

In fact, he'll probably dry hump Von every time he avoids him instead of laying down and taking it like Smith did.

They could sign a vet and draft OL, they could draft OL and then trade up for Mayfield or Josh "Better version of Mahomes" Allen, or take a flyer on Lamar Jackson in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Always in motion the future is.... Who knows. But what I described is a very common scenario across the league. My point is I hope you have patience with the young fellow.

Anyone who has honestly waited decades to see them take a QB to build the franchise around that isn't patient is an idiot.

Watching him in the pre-season you could see some traits that if he uses them are pretty exciting. He could also become lazy and leave you thinking about what he could have been like Vick, or Randy Moss, or Jay Cutler etc...

My expectation is something like 4000 yards..25 tds... 13 ints in his first year.
