A couple of things that stand out in my mind about this game.

1 - Allen vs Mahomes. Josh is known to do stupid things when he gets put behind the 8-ball. He has done very well this year at keeping those dumb plays out, but it's always there in his mind. His likelihood to choke might get pretty high if the Chiefs can get a good lead. OTOH, Mahomes is famous for his calm when the pressure is on. He makes good decisions and doesn't turn the ball over. He doesn't choke.

Statistic to prove my point? Josh Allen has 0 4th quarter comebacks and 0 game winning drives in the playoffs. Mahomes has 5 4th quarter comebacks and 6 game-winning drives. This is why Mahomes has postseason trophies and Allen does not.

2 - The Bills seem much too confident. This is just a feeling, but they seem like they have taken far too much from the regular season game. The game was a "must-win" for the Bills insofar as the race for the #1 seed was concerned and not nearly so important to the Chiefs. That is not to say that the Chiefs weren't trying, but they sure as hell weren't going to sacrifice any future to win that particular game.

I believe that the confidence we see from the Bills fans is indicative of how the team feels too. I don't think they have really considered the idea that there might be some reason why they often manage to beat the Chiefs in the regular season, yet lose to them in the playoffs. They were very, very confident in beating the Chiefs up in Buffalo last year too.

I think the Chiefs are going to win this game and the Bills will be crying, again, about how they were so close and that they're just as good as the Chiefs. They're not, but that is the one thing they will refuse to consider.
Ummmm what? He did everything he could to win the :13 second game while doing what you said he never has done. He lost because his defense couldn’t keep the Chiefs from getting into FG range. Then his team lost the coin toss in overtime and his defense couldn’t stop KC from scoring the game winning TD.

I get the Allen hate and mockery, but to say that he never did it while “technically” true is misleading.

Allen has been hardly hit this year unless he runs. We must getnktessure and Watson and Dugg gotta lock them down. We didn't have Watson the first game. He will be a big player this time for us to win.

They're not my numbers. I took all of that information from pro-football reference.

ETA - Here is the page that lists all of his 4th quarter comebacks and game-winning drives. None are in the playoffs.

I get it, but context matters. It’s like blaming Mahomes in his first AFCCG for not having a game winning drive. Sometimes the QB does all that he can do and it’s still not enough. That’s not an indictment on the QB. Allen has been bad in some playoff games, but the :13 second game is not one of them.

I give Allen a ton of credit for that 13 second game, except when I talk to Bills fans.

Then, he’s a loser piece of shit.
