Just fwiw - it's different saying that "only 11% of teams that start 0-2 have made the playoffs" and "teams that start 0-2 have only an 11% chance of making the playoffs."

The statistic you're quoting is the former whereas you would not be correct in saying that all 0-2 teams only have an 11% chance. For obvious reasons no one would believe that the 0-2 Bengals have the same probability of making the playoffs as the 0-2 Texans.

Wrong.
I stated 0-2 is an 11% chance to make the playoffs. I did not say only 11% of teams that have started 0-2 made the playoffs.

No, I'm telling you the "11% number" is not the probability of an 0-2 making the playoffs but the number of 0-2 teams that have historically made the playoffs.

That's 11%.

1st, most of that is based off a 16 game schedule. 2nd, teams like the Chiefs/Bengals/Bills/Eagles etc are all plenty capable of rattling off long winning streaks.

Bengals could go 0-5 and still make the playoffs.
In general, I agree with this statement. In the context of this current season, I'd consider that to be nearly impossible. The Bengals are already 0-2 in their division. The Ravens appear to be better. Browns and Steelers I'm not certain yet. Burrow is nursing an injury and I'm still convinced OBJ is going to get him killed at some point.

None of those circumstances is insurmountable, but together I think it means a step back for the Bengals this year.

No. You missed again.

As much as i don't like RB8, when he's healthy he's a cheat code.
