Monday I slipped home for lunch and looked out my bedroom window. 15 hens and 2 strutting toms within shotgun range. I am a couple of weeks out but like what I see so far this spring.

That's awesome. I met a guy today that showed me around a few spots around Clinton Lake. I'm hoping tomorrow is somewhat dry so I can check it out. It's right around an eagle's nest and as we drove by I saw 3 pretty good sized Toms and almost hit two hens with the truck. We are getting closer and should be able to bag a couple before gun season starts.

Go get em! Let me know how it goes. Taking down a turkey with my bow has proven to be pretty challenging this far. I'll keep plugging. |

Okay. Buddy mentioned he had heard that maybe Clinton was going to be added to the list of places you have to check in and out of with the Sportsman app. Hunting anything with a bow can be a challenge or a shotgun at times also..lol. Have a good one and hope you score a nice longbeard! |

FYI looks like the wildlife area is on the iSportsman list but the Corp ground isn't. |
