For all the public land guys look into onx hunt app. It's a gps based map program that shows public lands as well as ownership of private lands. It runs like 50 bucks a year but it is amzing the small chunks of state land that are hidden in among private land.
It is what Idaho fish and game uses to determine ownership on trespassing claims. Download all maps for the area you are going to scout though. If you dont have internet it wont load maps in the field. It has a 7 day free trial if you want mess with it before buying it. |

It also makes finding out who who owns certain parcels easy when trying to contact for permission on private land.

http://kdwpt.state.ks.us/KDWPT-Info/...-Hunting-Atlas Couple of links to the Walk In Hunting Areas in Kansas. I've always had good luck in hunting these areas especially around Lake Perry. |

The more you use it the more you will love it. I dont know about ks. But Idaho is like 80% public lands. Unfortunately huge chunks are inaccessible.

Wish that was the case with Kansas. Here it's in the area of 98% of the land being privately owned. Last I recall Kansas was dead last in state owned land. That's why for all the WIHA only areas.

Attend an NWTF Banquet and ask around. You will have a great time and likely score a place to hunt.

I'm watching Sniper on A&E and saw this thread so I thought I would post this question. On TV the sniper had the crosshairs on the towel heads nutz before moving it up for a center of mass shot. I'm thinking he should have blown his balls off! What could be worse than having your ball bag blown off. If that was me and my little buddy went missing, I would have been looking for my Johnson like the guy in Saving Private Ryan looking for his arm. I'm sure that would take all the fight out of that guy...
