It's going to be interesting when the Chargers need to take that "next step" and they don't have any skill players. In the playoffs, "solid" just doesn't get it done.
As usual, it’ll just depend on them nailing their picks.

Lions took a RT early and they’re doing just fine.

The Lions also had multiple years of high picks. The Chargers are going to have to really nail their drafting because Harbaugh is going to have them picking in the 20's pretty consistently.

McConkey is probably not playing. McConkey and Dobbins are enormous losses for them

We honestly should beat their ass in this case. There's nothing on that offense to fear.

It might be more of a ball control, lead by 7-10 all game from start to finish dominant, but nonetheless.

They can find skill players easier than they can find a T like that. Plus Harbaugh wants to play that way.

Yeah, and the Chargers haven’t really hit on skill position players recently either outside of Mcconkey.

We're not gonna get much traction against those Tackles and Herbert's been doing a really good job of running up the chute when it's available anyway.

So I'd have Omenihu and Jones in the middle a lot this week and focus on gap discipline. Attack the middle of that OL and make things uncomfortable for Herbert. Use Karlaftis and Uche at DE.

I mean, we won't do ANY of that. Because our line rotations are bizarre.

But we should.

I bet they do actually.

Chris likes to find Waldo these days and against LAC that is NOT on the edges.

McConkey and Dobbins have been their entire offense. Huge break that we must capitalize on.

Wonder if this is the game they'll quit ****ing around with McDuffie and put him back in the slot primarily.

Also expecting further breakout from Worthy as long as Humphries provides a competent enough baseline of play that simmers Mahomes the **** down a bit.

I mean that would be nice, but how?

Are we really gonna let Nazeeh and J. Williams go full time outside?

At least with Conner on the field you get SOME upside plays. But the whole situation speaks to how valuable Jaylen was. It went above what he was producing on the field. He and McDuffie, much like Sneed and McDuffie, allowed the rest of the secondary to do what only they did best.
