With that said, the Bills can win this game, but it's going to take their best effort yet this season.
They got exposed badly by McVay. I expect Ben Johnson to copy those plays. Oh and they can’t stop the run at all.

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Detroit drops 40 on them

I don't know. This seems like one of those games where the Bills play out of their minds. I don't think this one is a gimme for Detroit at all.

Everyone will predict 42-41 as they should and it'll be 13-9 at halftime.

Big games for the Bills, Steelers, Lions and Eagles. They all need a win to try and get the #1 seed. This is a great weekend to watch some football.

This is kinda why I discounted the Steelers because they ain't running that table. They will take at least 1 more L, maybe even 3.

So let's just go ahead and say Pitt is taking 1 more L...

WE need TWO WINS and Buff to lose to the Lions.

that's really it. Right?

Gotta stay in game shape, and as mentioned, gotta get Hollywood going with Mahomes.
This was the one I was thinking of. When they clinched WAY early and were basically not playing the starters for this extended period then got sent home early.

There was another team that did this - I think one of the Manning led colts one year?

None of those teams had proven what this group has in the playoffs. They've got more pelts on the wall than anyone not named Brady or Belicheck.

They've played 7 seasons in 6 years.

I don't think it matters if the Bills play out of their minds on defense. They don't have the personnel to effectively match up against the Lions' offense.

The Lions have a tremendous run game, behind a large and physical OL, and the Bills have a run defense deficiency, because they have small and light defenders who specialize in pass D.

The Lions' passing game works really effectively off the run game, and is especially dynamic against zone defense, which is what the Bills' defense typically plays and is best at playing.

The Bills COULD win this game in a shootout, but there are a lot fewer ways for them to win than the Lions to win.

Always love your takes, bro.

You nailed this one too - it isn't even the passing game here, but the Rams gashed the Bills quite well on the ground at times, and the Lions line is infinitely better at run blocking than the Rams.

The Rams were a horrible matchup for the Bills, and the Lions are basically the Rams on steroids outside of Goff being a little less than what Stafford is.

But the Lions should put up points at will. Their defense isn't great but I don't think that'll matter because this should be just about an autmoatic L for the Bills.

The Bills gave up 271 yards rushing to the Ravens. McCaffrey had 53 yards on 7 carries and the 49ers got 153 yards. Dolphins had 149. Rams 137.

It’s a huge problem for them and the Lions are an elite running team.

It’s a terrible matchup for them

Exactly. I think the Lions could come out and just line up and not even have to throw for this game.

The Chiefs are in pretty good shape right now. But they shouldn't let the Bills overtake them. A January playoff game in Buffalo, in three feet of new snow, might not turn out well.

Turned out great last time.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

The Bills manned up with the Chiefs way more often than they normally would and it worked.

I get what the matchup says on paper. That's why they play the games. I could totally see Buffalo winning this game.
