Stupid, Stupid, Stupid !!!!!

A woman I met when I was selling cars at Nissan who I kinda made friends with practically moved herself in with me, by saying "I may have to use your spare bedroom for a while", well I felt sorry for her and let her.

She has been at my house for one week and its driving me nuts, for one she only has a part time job and I told her you need to start looking for a better job so you can start saving money.

If I was in this position I would be pounding the pavement everyday looking for something and start looking to move, but she hasn't. Now I don't know what to do. I mention something everyday about her needing to find a better job and how after she starts to work she should be able to save in a month or so to move.

She even acts like she has the time to be particular about where she moves.
Damn I don't know what to do cause I keep feeling that I am supporting her I beleive we may not be friends much longer, it may end badly.


What should I do and how should I go about doing it?

I offered to get her a job here where I work doing housekeeping, full time job, with benefits. She refused and said she was going to wait and draw out the rest of her extended unemployment benefits. I told her that all my utilities had went up since she had been there and I couldn't afford to keep paying everything myself. I told her she was going to have to start paying half the bills. She said she wished she could, but she had her storage and cell phone to pay out of the money she makes.

I told her if I was going to have a roommate I needed one who could pay half the bills otherwise I would rather be alone. Today she told me she is moving in with this guy she has known since before her boyfriend died. I told her that was good otherwise I would be needing $400.00 on the first to cover the rent and utilities. she said she would be out by the first.

You handled it nicely ! Cuddos. And waiting until the Holidays were over was also nice. Sounds like you can have your life back and she showed what kind of person she really is. Life goes on.

I will never allow her to move in with me again.. I may stay friends, but I will not be keeping in close touch. I wish her well, but her life is not my problem. I have learned a lesson from this.

So, how much has it cost you? Has she even offered to pay you back, even if it's down the road?

I don't care what you do with your money, but I just can't believe people can leech off friends like that and not give it a second thought. If someone leeches off a new SO or whatever, yeah they still suck, but doing it to someone you've known a few years is just.... wow.

No she hasn't mentioned paying me anything, I will be glad to wash my hands of it all, even if it means taking a loss. Who knows, when she moves out I may never hear from her again.
