An open apology

I apologize. For everything.

I have clearly misunderstood how seriously some people take this stuff.

To me, this was harmless fun, an exchange of insults among fans of different teams. We don't know each other and these are just words typed on a message board. I didn't intend to hurt anyone.

But now I have been hurt. Badly. My employment status has been affected.

So I am sorry. I truly didn't mean for it to come to this.

I dunno - doubtful. He had a pretty traumatic experience here. Would you if the roles were reversed?

Well, that certainly was interesting reading. I've also learned a lesson, that being that I should quit my job and hang out here all day lest I miss something interesting.

For clarification, the extent of his problems with his boss are mere speculation on my part. Given that he wasn't absent from his computer for long and actually posted after revealing that his boss had been notified leads me to believe that he got a little harmless tongue lashing. If it were worse than that, I'm sure he would want to create problems for the guy who emailed his boss because he had that email address available and insisted on sending it to me privately instead of posting it on the board.

I think banning equals a cyber "death sentence" It should be rare. IMO Most of all, when it's a regular.

Nah... Just when it became clear that he wasn't there to discuss football, but rather create a disturbance... Wasn't his address something like "phillytroll@somelawfirm.com"

I'd have suspended the account and sent an email. It's happened before, and after the initial butting of heads, we usually end up with a good guy who just didn't get it in the beginning...

Nah the trick is to get a job that lets you hang out here all day. I don't post from work but I took the day off today so I got to bear witness. I think the east coast lawyer got quite a shock from the midwestern neanderthals.
