The play at 6:25 where he split the two blockers to make the tackle was impressive

There is an absolutely insane amount of speed on this defense now.

Gay 4.51
Bolton 4.59
Chenal 4.53
Sneed 4.37
McDuffie 4.44
Thornhill 4.42
Reid 4.40

We need to add a truly athletic DE who isn't a midget but you love that back seven right now.

That allows you to get away with having a 4.5 guy like Fenton on the field.

Don't forget we still have Deon Bush and Jermaine Carter JR from FA. We have a lot of depth to play with.

We just replaced UDFA Ben Niemann with a Big Ten LBer of the Year in our flex LB role.

Think about the tackling at the second and third levels now. Who's the worst tackler? Thornhill?

Major attitude adjustment on defense. Love it.

Chad Reuter: Kansas City Chiefs: A on Day 1; A+ on Day 2

The only team that Reuter gave an A+ on Day 2 was the Chiefs, who acquired Western Michigan wide receiver Skyy Moore, Cincinnati safety Bryan Cook and Wisconsin linebacker Leo Chenal, addressing some of their key needs.

Nice! This is the only pick I really liked with what was available on the board. But I'll give the front office the benefit of the doubt on our others. Pumped for the season!

The interesting thing about our draft so far is that it seems we are very committed to stopping the run. The question will be how we hold up in an afc west that is better at passing than running.
Totally agree and I think this is the only scenario where I might look back and wonder if the draft was as good as it felt at the time. Right now, I'm pretty enthusiastic about the picks, even notwithstanding I'd have taken T Jones at the Cook pick and probably not gone LB at this point.

There are plenty of AFC teams that WANT to pass a LOT, including in the West. Worst scenario is we've fixed a problem that wasn't as great as imagined. The best scenario is we say "You want to be pass happy with Herbert and Burrow, cool, but they're getting far less time and your best targets aren't being locked down by a UDFA"

Love this pick! Had him to us going at number 94 in one of my mocks where I had done some trading around.

This ain’t your grandfather’s Chief’s defense anymore boys, we are going to be bringing the lumber.

We allowed 4.8 Y/A on the ground last year

Only 1 defense was worse

He looks like the kind of hitter that stops everyone but also doesn't give himself concussions which is just fine
