I wasn't expecting anything this year once we lost Kubes and Wade. It is hard to start over with a new staff and then throw in starting a young QB who wasn't ever going to be more than a guy to run the practice squad.

I expect the Broncos to win some and lose some the rest of this year, I was hoping to get a WC spot just to give Semen some playoff experience. Don't really expect anything for another year or 2. HC's talk about 3 and 5 year plans for a reason.

It isn't like they are a team who has a QB who was in the MVP race last year currently on a 4 loss streak.

Just about everyone is 3-2 and this year, no unbeaten team past week 5. It is time for the Donks to pay the Piper for Superfarce 50. I hate that, so I think that the whole NFL is trash.
I read though all of that long garbage post and found a few things that we're in accurate. But I fixed that for you. Now your post is readable.

Well, that is a valid point. But I was basically saying that neither of them belong about 5th best. You can put Manning there if you like. I despise both of them and it sickens me to include either of them in the top 10. But it's pure folly to think that either goes in the top 2 or 3.

I’m just glad Elway is still running the Broncos.

Shitty drafter.
Terrible at signing/drafting OL
Can’t keep his good free agents
Corners himself then digs deeper with desperation moves

His whole time in Denver has been propped up by signing Peyton.

I think my line to KnowMo pushed him over the edge...

“I hope you enjoyed the Peyton years because they’re over”

I bet anything that pussy has shut the games off at halftime
I hope Elway stays in Denver for the next decade.

After that 45 point beat down of the Cowboys....they let the early season thin air advantage trick them again. Now they face the reality of going on the road w/o Sanders...and Semen at QB.

Their fans know what's coming...Bosa/Ingram in a revenge game. I wouldn't be surprised if Semen-boy gets hurt (not wishing)....he holds the ball too long and has terrible pocket awareness... his only WR is DT.

Exactly. But after that Cowboy win, the Mule Toolers were chest beating in unison. Now, not so much...

So, yeah... you're gonna have to go back to all those seasons before Shanahan and point to the greatness surrounding Elway during all those playoff runs. Dare say the reason they got to those 3 SBs is because of Elway and the reason they lost is because they faced 'complete teams'. The 3 Amigos? Great group of guys and a cool nickname, but c'mon. Those late 80s and early 90s teams were not littered with talent.

He was never the best anything. Second best quarterback for the Colts to the second best quarterback ever, Johnny Unitas. Second best Donks quarterback to number 5 ElFraud, and second best of his generation to the GOAT Tom Brady.
Manning > Elway by quite a lot. If he ranks below guys, it's those with much more playoff success, your Bradys and Montanas. Elway was a 55% passer in the playoffs with barely more TDs than INTs, not to mention more SB losses than wins.

It all depends on the process you use.. wins, stats, whatever... most rankings that I've ever seen have Elway in the top 5. I don't get too concerned with it. I'm quite confident that in a must win situation, there aren't too many others you would want playing the position.

A lot of Elway's stats, esp early on are thanks to Reeves and the type of offense he ran. They were never a prolific offense by design.

Reeves left in 1992, all you need to see really is the FY stats YOY until 1992 and then after to really see the difference and you'll see that if Elway had a coach with an affinity for a passing attack... his numbers would be more off the charts.

142 of his 300 regular season TDs were after Reeves in his final 6 seasons. Think about that... 47% of his career reg season TDs in the 6 years after 10 years of Reeves. And only 69 of his INTs (30%) after Reeves.

Elway was 7-6 in the playoffs with Reeves, with 3 SB losses.
Elway was 7-2 in the playoffs after Reeves, with 2 SB wins.

Elway certainly carried those teams in the early years, but you can rewrite history or bump him down the all-time lists if you like.

Yep. They'll finish no better than 8 wins. I said that before the Giants debacle. Not even sure they'll finish second in the division. I'll be surprised if the Chargers don't spank them Sunday...
