Andy Reid appreciation thread

The guy could easily have tried to pump his superstar QB by throwing on the goal line at the end of the game.

He did the smart thing and pounded it three times for the ****ing win.

Word to your mother, Pete Carroll.

Oh, and he has mind control over the AFC West. 18-1 in his last 19.

The first post you make that praises Andy Reid without any other bullshit attached to it will be your first. If the guy is ACTUALLY in your mind a coach you don't dislike and who shouldn't be fired, wouldn't you say he's worth a couple of posts here and there that mention the good things that he is? Or hell, maybe instead of immediately diving headfirst into your football version of Mein Kampf, you could preface your apparently balanced critiques with, "Look, Andy Reid is a top 10 (or even 5) head coach in this league and KC is lucky to have him." Or something to that effect. Because right now all we get out of you is Indy wildcard game and all of his Philly playoff losses that we just don't care about anymore.

I've criticized Andy Reid decisions, too. I think just about everybody has. But the criticisms are all in the here and now. We say, "I don't like that Andy ran a reverse on 3rd and 2" instead of bitching and moaning about what he did with Donovan McNabb or didn't do with Alex Smith.

Those are a couple of thoughts that would make you less of a universally recognized epic douche on this forum. Your choice if you want to adopt those or just keep continuing on your unhinged rants only to claim it's because of reading comprehension issues that you're misunderstood by everybody here. Until that happens, though, you lack that point you keep insisting is always clear as day in your writing.
Sorry SNR, but the fact of the matter really is just that you can't ****ing read.

However, I'll go ahead (AGAIN) and destroy the narrative that I just purely hate Andy Reid. Now, would a person with an irrational hatred for Andy Reid let a Superbowl loss stand without eviscerating him?

Common sense (which you lack) would suggest that no an Andy hater would destroy him for such a huge loss.

Here's your reality check.

https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/show...4#post15547484

Even in the hilarious "Andy Reid apology" thread, I did exactly as you're saying I haven't, and said that I was glad he's here.

He earned, and deserved those criticisms about nevergetting it done. Its what makes this so special.
So as you can see here, and I have plenty of other posts I can quote here, but I don't really want to have to break down what the difference between how I post and an actual wall of text is, the fact is simply that when you, and others like you get even the slightest hint of someone not falling to their knees in worship, that's all you see and the rapid head shake combined with outraged squee ensues.

Nah. Just calling out garden variety mod abuse. If I broke rules, or was deserving of a ban, that's what you should do.

Instead, you chose to flex your mod toolset and screw up my profile, I simply inquired about how long this was going to last, or who I needed to speak to in order to get it restored. No crying or hurt feelings. As said, I've seen you exhibit this behavior before, and expected it would take place.

As you felt compelled to tell us, you've been around 20 years (congrats, btw), so you're probably well aware how we like to have a bit of fun sometimes.... people **** around a little, we let them find out a little. It's all in good fun, because the internet isn't actually serious business. We're all adults, or we'd like to think so.

Sometimes along the way though, we bruise egos or vaginas... oops.

I'll change your name back and what not.

Appreciate it.

Complete transparency, when your opinion spamming and walls of text get to the point of other people reporting post (like they did in this thread), it's a red flag for us to act on it. Instead of just booting you from the thread, I simply said "we ****ing get it," you were kind of a dick back, and I returned serve.

I'll put my hand up here and acknowledge my bad. It is an appreciation thread an the point is for reverence instead of criticism, no matter if it's factual or not. So I'll find a more suitable outlet for open Andy Reid discussions.

Next time it'll probably just be a thread ban. You're probably thinking "ermergerd Bearcat has something against me!!!" as most people with very little self awareness do, but it's really community driven.

My preference if you feel I've broken a rule would be as such. Making changes to my username, avatar, text, etc...that's just bs, and little more than a Im a mod, "look what I can do" if I don't share your point of view.

We've let you opinion spam plenty, and again, it's really not until it gets to the point of others reporting posts that we even care all that much.

So, you can continue being an obnoxious turd with your Reid hatred bullshit to let us know for the thousandth time you don't like Andy Reid, but just know the community as a whole might just say one day, yeah, that's enough.

Except again, that's not what's going on. Hence the response you received. Various discussion on Andy have taken place. I've disagreed with the " greatest play caller and play designer ever" and greatest coach ever aspects in those discussions.

Again, admittedly I had those discussions in a thread meant only for reverence, which was wrong on my part. There will be no further debate on my part in this thread.

I'm sure you're compelled at this point to break down this post sentence by sentence, and that's cool and all, but I'm gonna watch the KU game to see if they were worth a shit today, so probably tl;dr.

It's like I've been here 20 years or something. You just know. Heh.

I hope we can put this bit of light hearted fun behind us and once again, sorry about your delicate feelings.

xoxo

It's in the FAQ, you've been here 20 years and should already know the rules?

Quote:
Opinion Spamming
There is nothing wrong with having unique opinions. It is part of what makes Chiefsplanet great. However, spamming the same opinion day after day and throughout multiple threads, to the point of thread derailment, is a punishable offense.
https://chiefsplanet.com/BB/faq.php

And again, the mod abuse wasn't because you broke the rules and got reported, that's what the "we ****ing get it, you can stop spamming the thread now" was for.

The mod abuse was proportional response to you being a dick about it.

Hey, good job. You supported your own 3x Super Bowl winning head coach several years ago.

Great job, seriously. I issued the bare minimum challenge to you, and you passed it. Congratulations. It doesn't excuse your other hateful bitch behavior posts since he's won you more Super Bowls, but at least you finally did something other than fart out the eggs that Philly fans laid in your brain about timeouts and clock management.

You don't have to explain what a wall of text is, penis breath. I know what one is when I see it, and it's your usual Andy Reid diatribe, complete with your assessment of his Philly years and what he did with Alex in the playoffs. You post it all the time. It reminds of when Skip would try to shit on Mahomes every other day and he said the same ****ing shit every time about how he didn't think his play in SB LIV was very good. I can easily procure several in this thread alone.

And nobody is telling anybody to fall to their knees at the Andy Reid altar, dumbass. To take a page from your book of dumbassery: You can't read.

The mod abuse is only a hazard if you have no sense of humor or are such an intolerable douche that not even the board hate-banging you with insults would provide entertainment.
