this can be used for your benefit.

if she is still there a couple hours in, say you have to go to an unscheduled practice early; use it to get both of you out of the bar.

once you are out, find any reason to go to her place. Any reason at all; this should be your goal through the whole night. if she mentions anything about her place (what it looks like, who she lives with; a pet) drop a hint you want to see it/meet them/whatever.

and talk a lot about writing about/covering the Chiefs. chicks love writers. but don't talk about football itself unless she is a sports nut.
