****The Official Save Our Chiefs Movement Thread****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Organization:

pr_capone: Paypal / FB / Media Contact
Marty: FB / Twitter / Media Contact
GoChiefs: (Cassel's Reckoning) - FB / Research / Youtube

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This team is just plain awful. The only consistently good play on offense comes from Bowe and Charles. Daboll is, I'm sure a great person, but an awful offensive coordinator. While I understand that trying to lead this team is "like trying to drive a car with 4 flat tires"... it is incomprehensible to me how he can misuse the little talent that he does have. Romeo was the right man for the job regarding Belcher. He is still not the guy to coach this team into playoff contention and a Super Bowl.

*****. I hope the rumors of the Titans being interested are true. I hope you did get your walking papers on your recent trip to Dallas. I cannot wait for you to be gone from Kansas City. You took an ailing team and smothered it Cassel, ineffective FA, and bad picks in the draft. Statistically... you are the worst thing to ever happen to Kansas City Chiefs football. I will be thrilled when your termination is announced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is still an unresolved issue with the donation from sports nutz and both parties are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Because I cannot afford to pay for a 2 hour flight by myself... we are only planning on flying a single banner. Effectively, we only have $960ish in the bank until the matter is resolved.

If the funds come available in time for the banner to fly, we will fly a second banner as well.

People like Deb know nothing about the game.

Ultimately, since players salaries come from fans, they really are our employees. If you had an employee who had bright spots and potential, but ultimately kept costing you, would you keep that employee just because you didn't want them to be unemployed? You really think that letting them continue in their ways is ultimately the best thing for them in the long run? Wouldn't it be better for them in the long run if you voiced your concerns to them? Even if Pioli isn't fired, and Cassel isn't benched, they will know just how unhappy people are with them and at least try to do better.

people should ask Deb about the number 43; and ask her if that number represents her IQ, or the number of years since the Chiefs won a championship'

nothing we can do really to hit Clarks in his bank account since STHs have already bought them; all that's left is to not buy the rest of them and sell as many to opposing tteams fans as possible.

hopefully this will be a dreadful season, and Season Ticket sales will drop next year. I HATE saying that, but truly - it's the ONLY language Clark speaks. $$

someone should email Deb the Pioli document (which is awesome BTW). I think a majority of the fans don't realize just how bad this regime has been. they're too caught up in the Arrowhead Mystique....which is no longer there.....and really don't know what they're watching.

Was not going to say anything, but this piling on and attack of the very wrong female Chiefs fan is not very appealing. Think about it, you have all sorts of new people checking out the site. You have media, possibly players, or management checking out this thread. I think it would be a major turn off to see some of the language being aimed towards her simply because she expressed her opinion. No matter how wrong it is.

I'm sure this will invite a similar piling on but I would ask you to think about how the last pages of posts might appear to someone checking out this site or the efforts being made here on behalf of Chiefs fans.

Take the high road...it travels further.

Off the soap box.

It was uneventful. She took the high road (which I had hoped for) as did I. She had one white knight say "i are calling u ignorant" which got a laugh out of me. I just told her I felt inclined to tell her she's brainwashed at this point, and I was willing to "attach my last name to it".

Crap. I find myself agreeing with MeMe...

Here's the thing. People would have to read a lot more than just this thread to understand the basis for our anger and angst. So, if you are new to the site and are confused by the vitriol towards Deb, referred to as the "True Fan", know this:

We are the biggest fans of the Chiefs that there are.
We have supported this team through thick and thin, but after some time...that support begins to wane.
We believe that as long as fans do not appear truly disgusted with the Chiefs and the product they put on the field, we will never see a change for the better.
"True Fans" like Deb are one of the biggest problems. Passionate fans like the ones you find here are not going to take it any more.

Lastly, Deb is and idiot.

Right? After I called her a North Korean, she said she wasn't going to resort to personal attacks. I informed her had she not just personally attacked a good friend of mine, I wouldn't have responded at all. But that's neither here nor there...

Most people are just regular sports fans... they aren't as obsessed as people like us who are so into it that we join message boards and keep up with every little detail. They live lives that don't revolve around their teams, they include their teams. It's simply an escape... something they enjoy... not something they immerse themselves in.

Of course Deb and other "true fans" aren't going to see the "big picture" the way we do. That doesn't make them bad people or stupid, it makes them people with a little different set of high priorities. I don't think basing her/them is necessary at all. She's just a fan who had a mic put in front of her face and was asked a question and answered it as a fan of a team... not as a spokes person for a movement of some kind.

Educating the more casual fan might be worthwhile. Bashing them for it is stupid imo.

I yeah I heard it. basically saying that with the Ravens, they get players that can contribute NOW, not in the future. and in a round about way, questioned the Chiefs desire to win. and basically the Chiefs are an organiztion that a lot of players around the league steer away from; or at least consider steering away from initially.
