Andy Reid appreciation thread

The guy could easily have tried to pump his superstar QB by throwing on the goal line at the end of the game.

He did the smart thing and pounded it three times for the ****ing win.

Word to your mother, Pete Carroll.

Oh, and he has mind control over the AFC West. 18-1 in his last 19.

It's like dude doesn't grasp the amount of injuries this team has, the average team would be sitting at 6-8 and we'd be talking about how injuries ruined the season.

Andy ignoring his shitty pass protection, calling dumb plays that waste important downs contributing to a dumpster fire redzone percentage, and getting his bacon pulled put of the fire by eagle eyed special teams, his defense, and 15 throwing his cape on and proving why he's the best player in football is not coach of the year material.

If there was an award for doing less with more, he's probably a lock for that award.

I mean Veach is going all out adding players and adding players and adding players and it's still this razor thin barely scraping by, head scratching stuff.

If the struggles were primarily defensively, then id understand this more. Andy is an offense guy. Through and through. Yet week after week after week we see the same old stagnat struggling offense with the best qb that ever lived, arguably the best TE, a tandem of solid running backs, and a hall of fame wr. Move the ball between the 20s, get to the redzone, iq drops to single digits and settle for 3.

Hilariously enough, it looks like the Chiefs are more interested in Hopkins trade cost than actually using him to help the offense.

Now, if this is as many say, just Andy hiding his cards for the threepeat post season push, and the Chiefs come out and are dropping 30+ on every opponents head, playing down to nobody, just crushing everyone, I'd be inclined to change my opinion.

That's not who this team has EVER been in the 3 title win seasons, but somehow, this whole "Andy's going vanilla" narrative still lives on.

As it stands now, it just looks like an offense oriented guy not able to figure out how to get his offense to score touchdowns with any regularity, or roll over even the worst nfl teams despite having the best in the business at the controls.

Browns are a 3 win team coming up, but the odds are that this game will look like a clash of champions, with the game still up for grabs by both teams in the 4th quarter.
The playmakers on this team all got injured by week 3. You cannot be this stupid. And Worthy was still learning.

This offense has had AARP players on carrying it. A bunch of old guys whose best days are behind them.

Kelce, Kareem, Juju, Hopkins

Guarantee this offense would have exploded if Hollywood, Rice and Pacheco all didn’t get injured. We saw Rice explode in the first few games before he got hurt. He was on pace for 1,600 yards and 11 TD’s.

And how much of the offensive struggles are a product of Mahomes making poor decisions or flat missing throws?

Rice is out for the season because Mahomes threw a poor INT and then in frustration went to make a tackle and took him out for the season?

How much different would this offense look had Brown not gone down on the very first play of preseason?

How would this offense look if he hit those long throws to Worthy?

I am not here to absolve Reid of any of the blame as he rightly deserves some. But you make it seem like he’s all to blame for everything and is only being “saved” by Mahomes.

You don’t seem to think Patrick plays any part of the struggles of this team. Close game? Stupid Andy being bailed out by #15. Great offensive game? No credit to Reid as it’s only because of Mahomes.

Mahomes is 29 and is in his 7th season. To believe that he has no say in the offense or the playcalls is silly and driven by your stubborn “anti-Andy” bias.

All this is true. Anyone who has been watching the games KNOWS that Mahomes, as a passer, is well below expectations based on previous seasons. Yes, he is under a lot of pressure because his pass protection is broken. But he also creates some of that by not getting throws out on time, or just not seeing the open man. And the deep ball misses are a real kick in the dick. We all hope he can make improvements, as he did in last year's post season. That needs to happen for the Threepeat.

The rest of the league basically told you they thought Kareem Hunt and JuJu were no longer NFL players.

I hope Andy Reid passes Don Shula to become the winningest coach in NFL history.

Belichick shouldn't be the one to do it because of spygate. He brought the game into disrepute and that is unforgivable.

Which throws are you referring to? The ones he's essentially reliving superbowl 55 and running for his life? The ones where he's in the midst of a 10-15 passes in a row streak because your hero refuses to run the God damn football? Those throws?

Rice is out for the season because Mahomes threw a poor INT and then in frustration went to make a tackle and took him out for the season?

So. Rashee Rice was the glue holding the whole thing together eh? Lmao. No.

How much different would this offense look had Brown not gone down on the very first play of preseason?

Who cares bro? You play with what you have. If your hero is the ****ing genius you claim he is, he's got guys here that can ****ing play. Unfortunately for two of them they're gonna get ignored because they play running back.

How would this offense look if he hit those long throws to Worthy?

Oh dipshit. We could do hypotheticals all day. How would our redzone percentage look if we quit running that dumb ****ing shovel pass? How different would our defense look if Chris Jones actually got home? How many yards would Kareem have raped the Bills for if your boy hadnt just inexplicably stopped handing him the football?

How much different would your life be if you were born with adequate oxygen? Just all day we could do this.

I am not here to absolve Reid of any of the blame as he rightly deserves some.

Oh does he? Let's hear it then, blasphemer! What are you actually willing to concede as pant shitting instead of placing the blame on the entire reason this franchise I where it is now, Patrick Mahomes?

But you make it seem like he’s all to blame for everything and is only being “saved” by Mahomes.

He's been saved by his defense and special teams as well. He's an equal opportunity ****up.

You don’t seem to think Patrick plays any part of the struggles of this team. Close game? Stupid Andy being bailed out by #15. Great offensive game? No credit to Reid as it’s only because of Mahomes.

Andy doesn't put Mahomes in a position that doesn't get the living shit kicked out of him, when it's glaringly ****ing obvious your guys aren't up for the job.

Dilphags fap boy Wanya gets his hands slapped like he got caught in the cookie jar and Patrick is on the ground. Oh but he got the throw off, missed the open man. ****ing idiot. Now let's run 12 more consecutive passes. I'm sure he wont get hit every time.....

Mahomes is 29 and is in his 7th season. To believe that he has no say in the offense or the playcalls is silly and driven by your stubborn “anti-Andy” bias.

Mahomes absolutely has a say in the calls, when the game is on the line. As far back as calling his shot with Wasp. Several gimme the ball moments. 3rd and 7 "I'll make something happen." Put the cape on, seals the deal.

But he's the problem, right? Christ.

Your contention is that there are no playmakers on this football team? Heh. Probably wouldn't start talking about stupidity pal. Glass houses and all that.

This offense has had AARP players on carrying it. A bunch of old guys whose best days are behind them.

Kelce, Kareem, Juju, Hopkins

Remind me again who scored the td? Oh. Oh Hopkins. Yeah, heh. What a scrub. Okay how about who caught the 3rd and 7 to run out the clock?

Ohhhh. Oh Kelce. Yeah. And that quarterback huh? What a joke. He's the reason they can't do anything. What an asshole, needing actual pass protection amirite?

So we've got one clown here shitting on the best player on the planet, and another clown crying about injuries and proclaiming we just don't have any talent on offense.

Crack kills, kids.

My favorite Andyism this year has been all about how much parity is in this league. We scratch out a win against a joke of a team and Andy is there hyping up how good they are, how the parity makes it so you just can't roll in and crush anyone, despite the fact that teams are getting their doors blown off on a weekly basis.

The parity in this league, man. It's something else

Roughly translated, even the shit teams have figured out how to turn my dumbass play calls into huge, drive killing negative plays, and I haven't quite figured out how to fix it.

Lmao.

Kevin O’Connell is a good coach but to laud the job he’s doing over Reid is insane.

The Vikings got hella lucky banking on their free agency additions at pass rusher (Greenard and Ginkel) and as much of a Patriot ****bag as he is, Flores is a top 3 DC.

KOC is getting okay game manager play out of Darnold (still has lots of turnovers though) surrounded by the best WR in the game, very good WR 2/3s, a not terrible OL and a top 10 RB.

Like… okay, sure great job winning games, Kevin. Real happy for you. But no, that coaching job is NOT more impressive than what Andy has done

11 wins with Sam Darnold. 28td to 10 int.

Darnold.

Mahomes.

Hmm. Whooooo haaaaas the harder job........hmm..

Lmao. Andy has Spags, so d coordinator isn't going against OConnell either.

Put it this way.

If the two coaches swapped quarterbacks, this Chiefs team is below 500.
