PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Trevor Siemian, quarterback, Denver. Still early, but the first two games of 2017 show Siemian may be moving away from The Guy You Hope You Can Win With and toward The Guy Who Can Beat Playoff Teams. That’s what Siemian was in the 42-17 victory over Dallas, with a 22-of-32, 231-yard day, with four touchdown passes and one pick.

Von Miller, outside linebacker, Denver. With such a torrid start to his career, it’s becoming rare to sit up and say, ‘Wow!’ when you see one of Miller’s stat lines. But that’s exactly what happened to me Sunday. Per Pro Football Focus, the Broncos pass-rushing force tallied a league-high 12 quarterback pressures with two sacks, two hits and eight QB hurries. Dak Prescott will be checking his bedsheets before crawling into them all week for fear Miller might be in there.

Didn't we hear almost this EXACT same thing last year after his performance in a road win against the Bengals(23-35, 312 yards, 4TD's, 0 INT's) in Week 3 and the Donkos started 3-0??

How'd that work out for ya?

Yeah and then Trevor injured his shoulder, we lost CJ Anderson and Janovich for the year, and our HC/play-caller was sent to the hospital and stopped calling plays altogether. Add in the protection problems and it was remarkable that Trevor played as well as he did down the stretch last season.

Blah, blah, blah. Excuses, excuses, excuses. Every team has injuries. Problem is, ElFraud can't draft, so your team has no depth to overcome those injuries.

And now you just lost your starting LT, for at least a few weeks, at a position you're already woefully thin at.

So, again, might wanna ease off the gas pedal there a bit . . . . .

Nobody tunes in to watch Trevor Semen and CJ Anderson . . . .

The ratings were better than the SNF Cowboys/Giants game last week.
