Lumpia is the shiiiiit. I don't believe longaniza is the sausage that goes in lumpia. Of course, I'm only basing that on the fact that I don't have longaniza flavored burps all day after eating pancit. My wife and her family traditionally eat longaniza at breakfast, and it's super good except for the all day burps that remind you want you had for breakfast.

Man, I eat a lot of tacos. These are pork carnitas from Antique Taco in Chicago.

I was taken out to dinner. Veal Marsala, Italian green beans and green salad. White wine and Italian ricotta cheese cake brulee with a wine reduction and strawberries. It was for a celebration.

What are all the ingredients here? Looks pretty awesome and I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food.

Pork carnitas are arguably my favorite food and I've eaten a lot of them in the US and MX, including my own which I'm very fond of. These were some of the best I've had. I'm also to the point when I see bacon on something I automatically think of it as gimmicky, but it definitely added a needed smokiness, texture and over-the-top savoriness here. These were a total flavor bomb. |
