Don't watch MMA that much, but GSP fights bore the hell out of me. He's too good at what he does. They need to find somebody that will actually challenge him and make him get more aggressive.

My top fight right now would be Silva vs. Jon Jones. Silva talked all that crap about wanting to go through light heavyweight and eventually fight heavyweight. How about a stop in at light heavyweight to get destroyed?

Exactly. He's a hell of a good guy.. good sport... there's nothing not to like. Other than the fact that he doesn't finish fights, and rooting for him feels like rooting for the Yankees.

As a Canadian, I'll root for him. But I wanted Shields to get to him today and force him to get outside his comfort zone. Like any other sport (especially this one, though), it gets really boring whenever one side is in complete methodical control.

I mean, you can only appreciate somebody's skill and talent so much. It doesn't mean it isn't boring.

Jesus, what on earth was Jake Shields thinking??? I mean I know it's hard to take GSP down but he attempted what, 2 shots the entire fight maybe? He can't be stupid enough to think he'd actually win a kickboxing fight with GSP.
Hominick is a ****ing warrior, that hematoma was ghastly and he put it on Aldo in the 5th round...I know Mendes or Florian (if he wins) gets the next shot at Aldo but I'd LOVE to see a rematch. Makdessi's spinning back fist KO of Kyle Watson was incredible...should've been co KO of the night. At this rate, Steven Seagal > Greg Jackson... |

Shields looked scared from the start. I didn't think he had a chance, and he clearly didn't think so either. The "most dangerous" GSP has ever faced? Please.
The rest of the card was ****ing amazing, though. |

Yes, Machida's kick was awesome!
St Pierre is my favorite fighter. I must say I don't understand all the hate. How can you not appreciate someone who can dictate that every fight goes down exactly how he wants it to? Now that's dominance! I understand his style may not be "exciting" all the time but he normally looks like a man amongst boys. |

Couture has been my favorite fighter for a long time and I hated to see him knocked out. That being said, the front kick was fricking amazing. Couture said it best right after the fight when he told Machida "good shot". I have a lot of respect for Machida too.
