2025 OL Prospect Thread

Alright guys, let’s have ourselves a 2025 OL Thread.

Current OL Questions:

1) We’ve invested in OL, what are your thoughts on their development path and potential roles next season? ...Kingsley, Morris, Humpries, Caliendo, & Nourzard.

2) Thuney’s holding it down at LT fairly well and getting paid big money, are you open to him playing there or moving him back to LG? For the playoffs & SB or next season?

3) Are you planning on picking up Jawan Taylor’s contract option in 2026 @ $27m cap hit?

2025 OL Draft Prospects:

Depending on where you look we’ll get a chance to draft one of the following O-Lineman @ #32: Jones, Milum, Williams, Ersery, Simmons, Savaiinaea, Conley Jr or Booker. Some OL prospects that CP members have suggested for rounds 2-4 include Ratledge, Membou, Mbow, Jackson, Nelson, Brown, Colby, Belton, Fairchild & Zuhn, C Grant. Not much consistency in rankings or rounds for these prospects yet.

1) Would you take an O-Lineman in the first round or wait until later in the draft?

2) Who do you have your eye one? Why are they a good fit? Are they starters or projects?

3) Please add your own questions, comments, player draft profiles, links, videos etc for your favorite OL targets below!

There's definitely a pretty strong argument for it. And if Reid and Veach said we want to pair this elite RB prospect with the best QB in the league it would be hard to argue.

What do you guys think, now that we’ve traded Thuney do we need 2 offensive linemen in this draft?

Don't forget that McKade Mettauer was on IR all year. He looked like a better prospect to me than Hanson. I have a feeling KC IR-Redshirted him (of course maybe he did fully tear his MCL but... we know this shit happens).

Would LOVE Belton in the 4th. Dude is MASSIVE and has decent footwork. Could be a dominant LT in the league for many years with some good coaching.

Question is do we trust Heck enough to take on that project? He likely wouldn’t start this year. Next year we may have openings at BOTH tackle spots, so he’d need to be ready to go by 2026.

I see Heck get a lot of criticism for not developing the LT position, but why no credit for developing Trey Smith at RG or Creed Humphryr at OC?

What do y’all think about trading up to around 20 for Simmons? I feel like he’s the best long term fit at LT.

Really, I’m glad to hear that. It seemed like an unpopular idea? Trading up for Simmons seems like a no brainer to me. He has the highest ceiling of any LT in this draft and if we can trade up to around 20, that seems like a good risk reward scenario considering that we really haven’t had a great LT in a long time. I’d love for our o-line to be a strength.

Problem is we’re not the only fanship that has our eye on him, comes down to what the pros think of him and his injury. I’m all for as much competition as we can get on the OL. I’m not sold on Moore or Taylor playing OT for us next season, not yet. Not to mention we need someone to play LG.

If we take an OT: Simmons, Banks, or Conerly Jr would it be crazy to have them play LG this season?

There's absolutely no reason to. Kingsley looked good there week 18. I'd prefer to have them focusing on both T spots.
