One of the biggest reasons I hate that we are wearing white is because DeJean is a walking DPI if you can see his hands. He literally cannot maintain close coverage against TEs and bigger WRs without grabbing his opponent with his backside hand to whip his short little off-arm around the front to break up a pass.

That said, it won't matter because he's going against the absolute best in this one and Travis is used to all of that shit.

In the end, I can't see DeJean mirroring Kelce much. We are going to attack that defense with 11 personnel all day long to spread out that zone and keep them from focusing on Kelce with anyone but Baun. They can't put DeJean in the middle of the field if Slay is worried about D-Hop, Mitchell is on Worthy, and Brown is in the slot. Nobody else can cover Brown.

Jalen Hurts has not done much in the passing game during this postseason...

GB - 131 yards, 2 TDs

LAR - 128 yards, 0 TDs

WAS - 246 yards, 1 TD

In other words, he has not hit 250 yards passing in a single game during the Eagles playoff run...

I wasn’t here yet but I have read that thread. It is hilarious. I wish I could’ve experienced that in real time.

I’m a big fan of Belize for NYE though too.

The Chiefs CAN lose. Sure. It is possible. The Eagles are good and present some challenges.

But the next team that beats the Chiefs in the playoffs by "running the ball" and "forcing turnovers" will be the first one to do it in the Mahomes era.

Fans here have heard, time and again, over the past half decade-plus from opposing fans like you, who cite regular season stats and DVOA and point differential, and their ability to dominate with the run and control the clock and be more efficient with their drives than the Chiefs. And who don't want to listen to anything but "oh gosh, you're right, the Chiefs ARE DOOMED and will have to get lucky!"

Want to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs? Your offense better be able to go blow-for-blow. That's the real way to do it.
One other thing that has been a trend with those other fanbases is that they are so convinced that they will win and win comfortably. To them it’s inconceivable that they could lose. Once it happens then all the excuses like field/script/rigged etc come out because of the aforementioned bias. I get it as New England used to be the same way. Biggest difference is that some of their success is tainted.

Not trying to be cocky but I just don’t see what these other analyst see. This isn’t a better team than the 2022 Eagles and Hurts isn’t gonna play as well as he did that game.

Quinyon is an incredibly corner and DeJean has been a really nice player, but the Chiefs are 5 deep. Kelce, Worthy, Hollywood, Hopkins, Juju. They cannot cover all of them. And just like the Bills game, somebody will be open. Andy has a real WR room this year to utilize his offense in 11 personnel.

The game is gonna come down to the Eagles front 4. If they don’t get heat on Mahomes consistently they have no chance. Zero. This is not Hunter/Anderson. It’s very similar to Ed Oliver, Greg Rousseau and 35 yer old Von Miller.

I don’t see a smaller speed rushing Nolan Smith or good but not great Josh Sweat giving Taylor/Thuney a ton of problems. And I think Creed is going to help double Carter since Fangio’s philosophy is to not blitz. And I can almost gauranteed Fangio is not blitzing. He did that last year with the Dolphins and Mahomes destroyed him.

It’s the worst team overall we’ve played in the SB. Weakest pass rush and weakest QB (Hurts hasn’t been good this year passing) alone make this the case.

The Bills were the same type of team. Same offensive and defensive philosophy. The difference is Josh Allen was able to hit on a lot of throws that I don’t think Hurts will hit this time.

I think the Chiefs finally win a SB without stressing us the **** out at the very end. Maybe I’m wrong. But I don’t think so.

This is completely false.

No team that gives up 4.3 YPC has the best run defense in the NFL.

Furthermore, the Rams were able to run on them.

I would say entering every other Super Bowl, as a fan of the team, my confidence in winning ranged anywhere from 50% to 60%. Last year was probably closer to low 50s. The previous Philly matchup would have been a solid 50%, that one had my relatively worried. Tampa was 50% because of the OL issues.

This year I'm 60-65%. Can we lose? Absolutely. But I feel better than I ever have.

If you believe PFF (which I typically don’t), their DTs are vulnerable against the run.

Their run defense grades are:

Carter - 59.3
Davis - 58.6
Ojomo - 56.4
Williams - 41.7

Chiefs likely aren’t running it outside for big gains, but Hunt between the tackles could be big. Even if he just converts the short yardage stuff and helps the Chiefs stay ahead of the sticks, his impact could be massive.

I've gotten the vibes from Andy all week that he knows this game plan is damn good with a nice chance to have Philly on their heels.

We'll see how they execute it.

Yup. What matters favors the Chiefs.

HC-Chiefs
QB-Chiefs
Entire coaching staff: Chiefs

Weakest QB and pass rush we’ve faced in our 5 SB’s. I will be really disappointed if they lose this game. It would be because of a ton of self inflicted errors.
